Adjust the volume fr om zer o (mute) to lev el 7 (max) by
using the V olume Contr ol Buttons on the Par ent Unit.
A short pr ess on the (+) or (-) buttons will increase or
decrease the volume b y one lev el.
• SOUND LEVEL LIGHTS DISPLA Y
The Sound Lev el Lights Display on your P arent Unit reacts to the sounds of your bab y . The louder y our baby , the mor e
lights illuminate on the display . Y ou can lo wer the volume of the P arent Unit while still watching out for bab y , ideal for
when you’r e r elaxing or entertaining.
• SOUND A CTIV ATED MONIT ORING
For those quiet moments or when your bab y is a little older , you may not want to hear ev ery sound in y our bab y’s
room. Y our Baby Monitor has a Sound Activated Monitoring mode , a featur e that only captures sounds above a pre-set
threshold, for example a cry r ather than a gurgle .
Select Sound A ctivated Monitoring by pr essing the
button on the Par ent Unit. The P arent Unit will mute 1 0 seconds
after your baby settles. Every time your bab y’s sounds rise above the threshold, this feature will be interrupted instantly
and normal sound monitoring will continue until y our bab y settles again. T o rev ert to normal monitoring mode , press
the button again.
• P A GING
Locate a lost P arent Unit by pressing the ON/OFF Button on the Bab y Unit 3 times in quick succession and the P arent
Unit will sound a 3-minute long alarm. T o silence the alarm, press an y button on the Par ent Unit. Please note that the
paging feature will only w ork when both units are switched ON and monitoring as normal.
• BEL T CLIP
The Par ent Unit’s battery cov er serves as a belt clip for you to attach to y our belt or w aist band. The belt clip also serv es
as a stand for tabletop use .
• CARING FOR YOUR MONIT OR
Do not immerse an y parts in liquid. Do not place in direct sunlight. Periodically examine product for signs of damage
to electrical parts and do not use until damage has been properly r epaired.

your child and is not a substitute for adult supervision. This product is not a toy . Alw ays keep electrically operated items

your monitor in or on a cot. Ensur e all wiring is positioned safely so that children cannot become entangled and that no

• B A TTERY S AFETY
Charging, remo val and r eplacement of battery pack should be carried out by an adult or under adult supervision.
Unplug the adaptor cor d befor e r eplacing batteries. Use only the supplied battery pack or r eplacement battery pack
available by contacting T omy W ebcare . Please note that the guarantee becomes v oid if you use any other battery
pack. Clean all contact surfaces befor e installing the supplied battery pack. T ake special car e to ensure battery pack is
inserted corr ectly , observing (+) and (-) polarity marks on battery and pr oduct. Do not short circuit the contacts in the
battery compartment or the battery pack terminals. R emov e the battery pack and unplug the pigtail of the battery
pack when storing the product for a long period of time or when the battery is dead. Dispose of exhausted battery
packs safely , and never dispose of batteries in a r e . R emov e exhausted batteries fr om product. Do not mix old (used)
and new batteries or batteries of different types, e .g. rechar geable and alkaline or batteries of different makes/brands.
Remo ve batteries fr om pr oduct after use or if storing for long periods. Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type
to those recommended.
Remo val and r echarging of rechar geable batteries should be carried out by an adult or under adult supervision. Do not

Q. Why is m y monitor not holding its charge or switching ON?
A. The P arent Unit’s battery has not been correctly connected. Remo ve the battery cov er and push the connector plug
rmly into its socket.
Q. Does my P arent Unit need to be switched on or off whilst char ging?
A. Either . Y our P arent Unit will char ge while switched ON or OFF . How ever , charging the unit when switched ON will
allow y ou to monitor your bab y while char ging.
Q. Will I hear the out-of-range and low battery alarms even when the v olume on my monitor is set to zer o (mute)?
A. Y es, alarms are unaffected by the volume contr ols.
Q. Can I use my monitor abr oad?
Y ou can use your monitor in the country it was purchased and anywhere in the EU. Although your monitor may
function correctly in other countries, its operating fr equency may affect (or be affected b y) other devices and could be
illegal. T omy cannot accept an y liability for use outside of the country in which y ou purchased your monitor or the EU.
Q. Can m y monitor coexist with WI-FI and other 2.4GHz devices?
A. Y our T omy SR Monitor operates on a 2.4GHz fr equency using Dir ect-Sequence Spr ead Spectrum (DSSS) technology
designed to coexist with WI-FI and similar wir eless digital equipment. How ever , if multiple 2.4GHz devices are operating
in close pr oximity , some interference is inevitable .
