Caution, do not force the base of clear-hinged top. It is held in with four small plastic insert tabs, two in the rear and

one on either side at the base of the clear lid. They can be seen when the aluminum tray is removed. The base and

hinged portion of the clear polycarbonate lid is removable (see below) and immersible for cleaning with a soft cloth

and warm soapy water. Do not use abrasive pads, powders or cleaning material. One model has two small gray

plastic, retaining pegs in the plastic insulation tray. They slide out to release the lid.

To remove and re-install the clear plastic lid.

Remove: Place thumbs inside and above the clear plastic base halfway up the height. As a guide use the thumb hold

on the left side with the word PUSH. Only apply pressure to the left side. Push outward and upward to release the

tab. The right side tab will now come out easily as well as the two rear tabs. This lid is now ready to clean.

Re-install: Hold the plastic base facing open and tilt it back to insert the two rear tabs. Then tilt it forward and align

the left and right tabs. To snap the left and right tabs into place gently push down on the top of the lid. first one side

then the other,

Operation Guide The system uses semiconductor, solid-state “Peltier” technology. This is a very quiet, compact and

efficient electronic cooling and warming tray. There is no noise and vibration from the cycling of a compressor or

compressor motor to disturb you, or your guests. No refrigeration gases of any type are used. For cooling a

bimetallic semiconductor transfers heat to a finned aluminum heat sink. A small computer style fans circulates cool

air … in and hot air out, through the vents. And in reverse for the warming function.

This product is designed for indoor, home use to serve cold and hot foods at a desired steady, temperature

adjustable between 37°F to 170°F or 3°C to 75°C.

It is NOT a cooking or food preparation appliance. Only serve full cooked or chilled foods on the product.

It is NOT a regular food refrigerator, or simple electric hot tray, that keeps food at less than 40°F, or higher

than 140°F

This product is NOT intended to safely store food, beverages, medical materials, drugs or other perishables

longer than you would at room temperature

Place the unit on a hard flat, level surface, out of direct sunlight. Be sure table clothes and other soft materials

do not block the fan vent on the bottom center of the unit.

Power Connection: To use the cooler insert the power plug of the transformer into a 220 Volts wall socket,

insert the female small socket into the unit.

To enhance the cooling function, place 1 teaspoon of clear beverage spirits (vodka) on the transfer plate.

Plain water will also work but may ice up and reduce performance. No not use salt water or

any liquid that will stain or leave a residue. Blot up the remaining liquid when

storing the server.

To start press the on and off switch. When the power is temporarily disconnected, or when just connected,

the tray will not restart automatically.

Temperature Adjustment: There are two arrows on the control panel. When pressed the “up” arrow raises the

desired temperature on the LCD. The “down” arrow sets it lower. When the food pan temperature of cooler

reaches the set temperature, the unit will maintain your set temperature. Holding the up, or down will move

the setting quicker to your target. It will switch automatically from, and to, cooling or heating. Just set it

where you want it, but plan for cold or warm food for an event moving from warm to cool takes a long time.

Holding both the up and down arrow buttons together will switch the LCD, back and forth from C to F.

The aluminum food tray is coated with a food safe, non-stick material and can be use in the oven to 150 C, or

in the freezer, but not the microwave. Please use wooden or plastic utensil only. Please use insulating mitts

or potholders when removing from oven.

The unit is has an optional (not include in all units) polypropylene snap on cover for the aluminum food tray.

It is for food storage, stacking and preparation. It has a tab on one corner, which should be in the right front

corner when sliding the covered tray into the server. You may also use it on the tray in the server to maintain

your optimum temperature before serving. You must remove the aluminum tray to uncover it.

Special Precautions and Maintenance

The product should be installed with adequate clearance to allow airflow for the heat dispersion area on the

sides and back of the unit. Minimum 2.5 cm clearance on the sides and back. It should be on a hard flat

surface to allow the fan vent on the bottom

center to flow unobstructed.

Most of the heat is dispersed from rear and sides, which may affect other trays of food or beverages you are

serving. Please don’t place a microwave oven, toaster or other heat producing home appliance near the

cooler. When in cooling mode it should not be placed in direct sunlight, or in a high temperature, or high

humidity environment.
