2.3 Safety information with regard to the use
Always place the appliance on a dry, level and firm surface, and well away from the edges.
Do not use the appliance if the lid, locking ring, feeding tube/ pusher or other accessories are
damaged.
Ensure that the accessories are fitted securely and correctly, before you switch on the appliance.
Do not install more than one attachment at a time, with the exception of the julienne
attachments and the small slicer attachment, which have to be installed on the large slicer
attachment.
Always switch off the appliance at the wall socket and unplug before changing an accessory, and
before removing the collection tray.
Make sure not to overfill the collection tray and if necessary empty it during use.
The appliance s intended solely for chopping/slicing vegetables. Do not use the appliance for
other types of food or frozen foods. The grater attachment may be used for cheese.
Keep loose clothing and long hair away from the feeding tube.
NEVER put fingers, utensils or similar into the feeding pipe or collection tray whilst the appliance
is in use.
NEVER use fingers, kitchen utensils or similar to push ingredients down the feed tube. Always use
the pusher.
NEVER touch the moveable parts whilst the appliance is switched on or connected to the mains.
Turn the tongue of the locking rind away from the motor unit when placing vegetables into the
feeding tube to avoid accidentally starting the appliance.
Do not attempt to switch the appliance on by pressing the activation pin on the motor part with
kitchen utensils or other objects. Always start the appliance using the locking ring.
Never move the appliance while in use.
Never insert anything into openings of the appliance.
If the appliance stops during use due to overloading, leave it to cool down for at least an hour
before removing the jammed vegetables and starting the appliance again.
Be careful not to touch the cutters or sharp parts during use and cleaning.
2.4 Safety information with regard to the cord and plug
Do not let the cord hang out over the edge of the work surface.
Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the cord or any extension cord.
Keep the cord and appliance away from heat sources, hot objects and naked flames.
Unplug before changing accessories or cleaning and when not in use. Avoid pulling the cord
when removing the plug form the socket. Instead, hold the plug.
Ensure that the cord is fully extended.
The cord must not be twisted or wound around the appliance.
Check regularly that neither cord nor plug is damaged and do not use if they are, of if the
appliance has been dropped or damaged in any other way.
If either the appliance, cord or plug has been damaged, have the appliance inspected and if
necessary repaired by an authorized repairer. Never try to repair the appliance yourself. Please
contact the store where you bought the appliance for repairs under the guarantee. Unauthorized
repairs or modifications to the appliance will invalidate the guarantee.
