5. Ensure that the tongue on the locking ring fits down into the recess around the activation
pin.
6. Hold the pusher with one hand and slowly push it down into the feed tube, whist holding
down the off button on the locking ring with the other hand.
7. Release the off button on the locking ring to stop the appliance if you wish to add more ice.
Turn the tongue on the locking ring away from the motor unit whilst fitting it to avoid
accidentally starting the appliance.
8. Pull out the collection tray and empty out the crushed ice when you have finished chopping.
5.9 After use
1. Remove the plug from the socket and allow the appliance to cool after use.
2. Dissemble the appliance and clean all parts before storing. See “cleaning”.
6 Cleaning and Maintenance
This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to cleaning and maintaining the device.
Please observe the notices to prevent damages due to cleaning the device incorrectly and to ensure
trouble-free operation.
6.1 Cleaning
When cleaning the appliance, you should pay attention to the following:
Remove the plug from the mains socket, and allow the appliance to cool down completely
before cleaning it.
Do not immerse the motor section of the appliance in water and make sure no water enters
the appliance.
Clean the motor section by wiping it with a damp cloth. A little detergent can be added if the
appliance is heavily soiled.
Do not use scouring pads, steel wool or any form of strong solvents or abrasive cleaning
agents to clean the appliance, as they can damage the external surfaces of the appliance.
Take the appliance apart and clean all off the accessories separately. The base unit, lid,
collection tray feed tubes and pushers can be cleaned in warm water with a little detergent.
The holder and the attachments should be rinsed under the tap. If they have become stained
from the vegetables, wash them using some washing up detergent. The parts are not
dishwasher safer.
IMPORTANT: Allow to dry completely after cleaning. Do not use the appliance if it is damp.
Ensure the appliance is clean and dry before storing.
