Formating with "H2format"

a) Download the "H2

f o r m a t " (software), and unzip it to a folder of your choice.

b) Open the command line via "s

t a r t " + "al l pr o g r a m s " + "aC C e s s o r i e s " + "Co m m a n D pr o m p t ".

To be able to use "H2f o r m a t " under Windows® Vista to format your MovieStation, you must run the program as

administrator.

Under "• S

t a r t " + "al l Pr o g r a m S " + "ac c e S S o r i e S ," right-click "co m m a n d Pr o m P t " for this purpose.

Select the "• r

u n a S a d m i n i S t r a t o r " option to start the command line in administrator mode. If a Windows user account

control query appears, select "co n t i n u e ".

c) In the command line, switch to the folder in which you previously unzipped the software.

d) Start the formatting of the MovieStation with FAT32 by entering the command "

H2f o r m a t " and the drive name that

you previously assigned to the MovieStation. The command could thus be as follows: "H2f o r m a t t:".

Caution: Please make sure that you specify the right drive to be formated – otherwise the wrong drive could be

formated and saved data would be irretrievably lost!

e) After the formatting procedure, switch your MovieStation off and on again so that the formatting information can be

correctly assumed by your computer.

Mac® OS X from 10.3

To format the MovieStation in Mac® OS X with the file format "fat32," proceed as follows:

a) Select "f

i n D e r " + "ut il iti es " and open "Di s K ut i lit y".

b) Click the MovieStation, which is listed with its model number. Select the hard disk or partition that you want to format.

c) From the right window, select the option "D

e l e t e ".

d) Use the drop-down list to select the "ms Dos f

i l e sy s t e m " for the hard disk/partition to be formatted, and enter the

name in the provided field.

e) Click the "D

e l e t e " button to start the formatting.
