SAFETY
• The appliance is not to be used by persons
(including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
• By ignoring the safety instructions the
manufacturer cannot be held responsible for
the damage.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
• This appliance is only to be used for household
purposes and only for the purpose it is made
for.
• The electrical supply must be switched off at
the outset, preferably by means of a switch in
the distribution box, before any installation,
maintenance or repair work is undertaken.
• Always attach the fan to the ceiling, never to
the power point itself.
• The minimum distance between the blades of
the fan and the floor has to be more than 2.3m.
The minimum carrying capacity must be 100kg.
• Take account of the minimal separation
distance from other objects and the room
required around the fan.
• All electrical connections and connection cables
must comply with the appropriate rules and
match the operating instructions
• The fan must be properly earthed to avoid the
risk of an electric shock.
• Never mount the fan in a moist or wet place.
• Be careful when working near the rotating
blades.
• The fitting must be correctly installed if it is to
operate reliably.
• If in any doubt consult a professional, taking
local installation requirements into account.
Some countries stipulate that lighting may be
installed only by registered installers.
• Clamping screws in electrical connections must
be adequately tightened.
• Take note of the symbols when connecting
wires: N=Neutral, L=Phase, = Earth, LS=Live,
switched.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
• Take the appliance andaccessoriesoutthebox.Removethe
stickers,protective foilorplasticfrom thedevice.
• Place the device in a place with at least 50 cm free space around the
unit.
Installation of the fan
1. Secure the mounting plate to the ceiling with two screws, spring
washers and flat washers provided. Ensure the support for the
mounting plate must be capable of safely and securely holding the
moving weight of the fan.
2. Insert the male connector into the female connector.
3. Connect the wires from the earthed mains supply to the terminal
block.
4. Attach canopy to the mounting plate by aligning canopy side holes
with the bracket side holes. Lift fan until the screws reach the bottom
of the slots and then rotate the canopy counterclockwise until the
screws drop into the slot recesses.
5. Insert the other two set screws and washers. Tighten all the screws,
make sure that the canopy is secure and that you have not trapped
any wires. Ensure that the slot of the ball hanger fits into the guide pin
of the upper canopy.
6. Assemble blade clips onto the blades by tightening the screws, flat
washer, spring washers and nuts together.
7. Install the fan blade sets onto the motor by tightening the screws and
spring washers.
8. Install a light bulb (E27, max 60W, max 110x60mm, not included) to
the lamp holder. Switch the power on to check the correct operation of
the light and the fan.
9. Install the glass shade onto the motor housing by tightening the three
thumb screws. CAUTION: Do not use pliers to tighten the
thumbscrews. Over tightening of the thumb screws may crack the
glass shade and cause danger.
10. Attach the two pull cords, ensure that the pull cord retaining clips
supports the cord.
USE
• Pull the speed switch cord to set the desired speed mode.
• Pull the light switch cord to turn the light on or off.
• To switch off the device pull the cord several times.
• The following table lists the different speed settings. For another position
pull the speed cord.

• The switch on the motor housing controls the direction of air movement:
– In cold weather: press the “RIGHT” switch so that the blades push the
hot air down and let it circulate through the room.
– In hot weather: Push switch “LEFT” so that the blades will create a
breeze and circulate the cold air through the room.
–Note : Let the fan stop operating before using the direction switch in
order to prevent any damage to the motor or injury. The switch should
stay in the RIGHT or LEFT position when the fan is working.

VEILIGHEID
• Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door

VOOR HET EERSTE GEBRUIK
• Haal het apparaat en de accessoires uit de doos.Verwijder de stickers,
de beschermfolie of het plastic van het apparaat.
• Bevestig het apparaat op een plaats met minimaal 50 cm vrije ruimte
rondom.
Installatie van de ventilator
1. Bevestig de montageplaat aan het plafond met de twee meegeleverde
schroeven, veerringen en platte ringen. Verzeker u ervan dat de
montageplaat voldoende steun biedt voor het gewicht van de
draaiende ventilator.
2. Steek de mannelijke stekker in de vrouwelijke stekker.
3. Sluit de draden van de geaarde netvoeding aan op het
klemschroefblok.
4. Bevestig de kap op de montageplaat door de openingen in de zijkant
van de kap uit te lijnen met de openingen in de montageplaat. Breng
de ventilator omhoog totdat de schroeven in de sleuven zitten en
draai de kap dan linksom totdat de schroeven in de uitsparingen
vallen.
5. Breng de andere twee schroeven en ringen aan. Draai alle schroeven
aan en let er daarbij op dat de kap goed is bevestigd en er geen
draden klem zitten. Controleer of de geleidepen van de bovenkap in
de sleuf van de balanskogel zit.
6. Monteer de bladklemmen op de bladen door de bouten, platte ringen,
veerringen en moeren vast te zetten.
7. Monteer de ventilatorbladen op de motor door de bouten en
veerringen vast te zetten.
8. Plaats een lamp (E27, max. 60 W, max. 110 x 60 mm, niet
meegeleverd) in de fitting. Schakel de voeding in en controleer de
lamp en ventilator op een juiste werking.
9. Monteer de lampkap op de motorbehuizing door de drie
duimschroeven aan te draaien. LET OP: Gebruik geen tang om de
duimschroeven aan te draaien. Als de duimschroeven te vast worden
aangedraaid, kan de lampkap breken.
10. Bevestig de twee trekkoorden en let er daarbij op dat de
bevestigingsklemmen de koorden ondersteunen.
GEBRUIK
• Trek aan het snelheidskoord om de gewenste snelheid in te stellen.
• Trek aan het lampkoord om de lamp in of uit te schakelen.
• Trek meerdere keren aan het koord om het apparaat uit te schakelen.
• De volgende tabel toont de verschillende snelheidsinstellingen. Trek aan
het snelheidskoord om de instelling te wijzigen.

• De schakelaar op de motorbehuizing regelt de richting van de
luchtstroom.
– Bij koud weer: druk de schakelaar naar “UP” zodat de bladen de
warme lucht omlaag duwen en door de ruimte laten circuleren.
– Bij warm weer: druk de schakelaar naar “DOWN” zodat de bladen een
luchtstroom creëren en de koele lucht door de ruimte laten circuleren.
–Opmerking : Stop de ventilator alvorens de richtingsschakelaar te
bedienen om motorschade of letsel te voorkomen. De schakelaar
moet in de positie UP of DOWN blijven staan terwijl de ventilator
draait.

AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
• Sortez l'appareil et les accessoires hors de la boîte.Retirez les
autocollants, le film protecteur ou le plastique de l'appareil.
• Placez l'appareil en préservant toujours au moins 50 cm de dégagement
autour.
Installation du ventilateur
1. Fixer la plaque de montage au plafond avec les deux vis, les
rondelles élastiques et les rondelles plates fournies. Vérifier que le
support de la plaque de montage peut soutenir en toute sécurité le
poids du ventilateur en mouvement.
2. Insérer le connecteur mâle dans le connecteur femelle.
3. Connecter les fils de l'alimentation secteur à la terre au bornier.
4. Fixer la canopée sur la plaque de montage en alignant les orifices
latéraux de la canopée sur les orifices latéraux du support. Soulever
le ventilateur jusqu'à ce que les vis atteignent le bas des fentes, puis
faire tourner la canopée dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d'une
montre jusqu'à ce que les vis tombent dans l'évidement des fentes.
5. Insérer les deux autres jeux de vis et de rondelles. Serrer toutes les
vis et vérifier que la canopée est solidement fixée et qu'aucun fil
électrique n'est coincé. Vérifier que la fente de la boule de suspension
est bien insérée dans la goupille de guidage de la canopée
supérieure.
6. Fixer les attaches des pales sur les pales en serrant ensemble les vis,
les rondelles plates, les rondelles élastiques et les écrous.
7. Monter les pales du ventilateur sur le moteur en serrant les vis et les
rondelles élastiques.
8. Visser une ampoule (E27, 60W max., 110x60mm max., non
fournie) dans la douille. Remettre le courant pour vérifier le bon
fonctionnement de la lumière et du ventilateur.
9. Monter le globe en verre sur le boîtier du moteur en serrant les trois
vis à oreilles. ATTENTION: Ne pas utiliser de pince pour serrer les
vis à oreilles. Un serrage excessif des vis à oreilles peut fissurer le
verre et entraîner des risques de blessure.
10. Fixer les deux cordons et vérifier qu'ils sont correctement maintenus
par les clips de retenue.
UTILISATION
• Tirer sur le cordon d'interrupteur régulateur de vitesse pour sélectionner
la vitesse désirée.
• Tirer sur le cordon d'interrupteur de l'éclairage pour allumer ou éteindre
la lumière.
• Pour éteindre le ventilateur, tirer plusieurs fois sur le cordon.
• Le tableau ci-après énumère les différents réglages de vitesse. Pour une
autre position, tirer sur le cordon régulateur de vitesse.

• L'interrupteur sur le boîtier du moteur contrôle la direction du flux d'air:
– Par temps froid: pousser l'interrupteur vers le haut («UP») pour que
les pales poussent l'air chaud vers le bas et le fassent circuler dans la
pièce.
– Par temps chaud: pousser l'interrupteur vers le bas («DOWN») pour
que les pales créent un flux d'air frais et le fassent circuler dans la
pièce.
–Remarque : Ne modifier la direction du flux d'air que lorsque le
ventilateur est à l'arrêt afin d'éviter d'endommager le moteur et tout
risque de blessure. Lorsque le ventilateur fonctionne, l'interrupteur
doit être en position levée ou baissée.
