both the heater and the cowl
must be firm and well sealed.
It is no longer permissible to
operate heaters with incor-
rectly fitted or damaged
exhaust ducts!
6. Never allow the warm
air outlet on the heater to
be obstructed in any way.
For instance never hang was-
hing on or in front of the hea-
ter to dry. Misusing your hea-
ter in this way could cause
serious damage from
overheating. Do not place
flammable objects near the
heater. Please follow these
guidelines in the interest of
your own safety.
General safety notes
If the gas system is leaking
or if there is a smell of
gas:
- extinguish all naked
flames!
- do not smoke!
- switch off all appliances!
- shut off the gas cylinder!
- open windows and
doors!
- do not actuate any
electrical switches!
- have the entire system
checked by an expert!
Repairs may only
be carried out by
an expert.
Attention: A new O-ring
must always be installed after
dismantling the exhaust duct!
1. Any alteration to the appli-
ance (including exhaust duct
and cowl) or the use of spare
parts and accessories which
are important to the function
of the heater and which are
not original Truma parts, as
well as the non-observance
of the installation and opera-
ting instructions, will lead to
the cancelling of the guaran-
tee and exclusion of liability
claims. It also becomes illegal
to use the appliance, and in
some countries this even
makes it illegal to use the
vehicle.
2. The operating pressure
of the 30 mbar gas supply
(or 28 mbar butane/
37 mbar propane) must
correspond with the ope-
rating pressure of the
30 mbar unit.
3. In Germany only, LPG
installations must comply
with DVGW form G 607.
The gas system must be
tested every 2 years by a
liquid gas expert (DVFG, TÜV,
DEKRA). Performance of this
test must be confirmed on
Servicing
In the event of a fault contact
the Truma Service outlet in
the first instance (see page 20)

Removing
the Heater Cover
Pull the cover forward at the
top, lift up the retaining
springs and fold out cover
forwards. (If space is limited,
lift the cover upwards and
forwards, lift until the cover is
released, then remove it.)
Then place the cover to the
side so that the connection
cables for the hot air fan and
the ignition pilot light do not
have to be removed.
To assemble, place the cover
on the lower support clip (l).
Insert the operating rod into
the knob sleeve from below
and let the cover slide up-
wards until it fits into position.
Fit the control knob from abo-
ve in such a way that the ar-
row points to ”0”.
2
Changing batteries on
the automatic ignitor
If the pilot light (d) does not
flash, or if ignition sparks
cannot be heard or are heard
only at intervals of more than
one second, the battery must
be replaced.
Replace the battery only if
the heater is switched off.
Insert a new battery before
the start of the heating sea-
son.
Remove the heater cover (see
Point 1), push the battery
compartment cover up and
change the battery. Ensure
that the polarity is correct.
Close the battery compart-
ment again.
Only use temperature resi-
stant (+70° C), leakproof
Mignon batteries (LR 6, AA,
AM 3, Art. no. 30030-99200),
other batteries could caus
operational faults!

Cleaning
(only when the unit
is switched off):
It is recommended that dust
gathering on the heat
exchanger and on the base
plate be removed at least
once a year before regular
use recommences.
To clean the impeller on the
hot air fan, remove the false
floor in the wardrobe, loosen
the retaining spring form on
the fan, draw the ventilator
housing sideways away from
the air diffuser and lift up-
wards and off. If necessary
disconnect the electrical
cables. Clean the blades with
a small brush.
To assemble, first place the
Trumavent fan in the air diffu-
ser and then fix in place with
the retaining spring.
the test certificate according
to DVGW form G 607.
The vehicle owner (opera-
tor) is responsible for
arranging the inspection.
4. In other countries, the
appropriate regulations must
be observed. For your own
safety it is absolutely neces-
sary to have the complete
gas installation and appliance
checked by an expert regular-
ly (at least every two years).
5. Do not operate the appli-
ance when refuelling the ve-
hicle and when in the garage.
6. When a brand-new unit is
first used (or when the unit is
used after a relatively long
break), it may give off a little
smoke and a slight smell. If
this happens we recommend
running the unit on full
power, ensuring that the
room is well ventilated.
7. If the burner makes an
unusual noise or if the flame
lifts off while burning, it is
likely that the regulator is
faulty, and it is essential to
have it checked.
8. Items sensitive to heat
(e.g. spray cans) must not be
stored in the installation area,
since excess temperatures
may under certain circum-
stances be incurred there.
For the gas system only gas
pressure regulators with pro-
tection against excess pres-
sure, such as regulators with
safety valves according to
DIN 4811 and VP 306, may
be used. We recommend the
Truma DUB vehicle regulator
or in the case of a two cylin-
der gas installation that is
only accessible from the out-
side, the Truma Triomatic
with automatic reserve
switch-over. The Truma regu-
lators have been specially
designed for heavy duty use
in caravans, boats and
vehicles. In addition to a
safety valve for countering
excess pressure, they also
have a pressure gauge with
which you can check that the
installation is fully gas tight.
Always connect the pressure
regulator to the gas cylinder
by hand with great care. For
temperatures around 0° C
and below, the regulators
should be operated with a
defroster system (Eis-Ex).
Inspect the regulator connec-
tion hoses regularly for signs
of weakness. For winter cam-
ping use only special frost-
resistant hoses. Gas cylinders
must always be upright!
