PREPARING COFFEE (Fig. 2 - 7)
1. Fill the tank (6) with cold water. A quantity of less
than two cups is not recommended.
2. Fit the adjustable filter holder correctly, to do this
turn it clockwise gently so that the holding clips lock
into position (see figure 7)
3. Place the permanent filter (8) into the filter holder
(7). Put in one tablespoonful of coffee for each cup
of water.

This coffee maker can also be used with nº 1x4
paper filters.
For correct operation, do not use coffee with
too fine a grind.
3. Place the jug (3), with its lid fitted, on to the hot
plate (2), plug the coffee maker into the mains and
press the
switch (1). The pilot lamp indicates
that the coffee maker is working.
A cup of coffee can be served before the brew cycle
has finished. Whenever the jug is removed from the
hot plate, the drip feed will be detained temporarily.
Place the jug back on the hot plate within 20 seconds.
PREPARING ESPRESSO COFFEE
(Fig. 9 -14)
1. Plug the appliance into the mains and make sure
that the ON/OFF switch (10) is off and that the steam
regulator (12) is closed.
2. Unscrew the lid on the tank (9) and pour in the
desired amount of water. The jug (16) shows the
amounts required for two or four cups. Screw the
lid back on and tighten it securely.
3. Place the filter (15) into the filter holder (14). Use
the filters two or four-cup level marks to gauge the
amount of coffee needed. Clean off any coffee that
may be left around the edge of the filter holder.

coffee, Italian espresso type.
Do not pack the coffee down.

holder and turn it to the right until it locks. Place the
jug (16) so that the opening lines up with the outlet
for the coffee. If you want the coffee to flow directly
into two cups then fit the adaptor (17).
Make sure that the water tank is closed properly
before using the coffee maker.
Do not try to open the lid on the tank while it is still
pressurised.

Always unplug the coffee maker when it is not in
use and before cleaning it. Leave it to cool down
before putting it away, removing any pieces and
