2.1 Observing other applicable

fitted in the factory on the underside of the

product.

3 System overview

3.1 Manually adjustable functions

Manually adjustable functions are avail-

able that you can use to temporarily de-

activate automatic mode and control op-

eration manually or adapt it to your own

requirements:

– Time programmes

– Holiday programmes

– Party function

– 1 day away from home

– 1 day at home

– 1 x ventilation boost

These functions are available via the

higher-level system control →VRC 700

operating instructions.

3.2 Weather-compensated system

control

The system is equipped with a weather-

compensated system control that provides

heating and domestic hot water operation

depending on the control type, and con-

trols this in automatic mode.

The control ensures a higher heating out-

put when outdoor temperatures are low.

In the event of relatively high outdoor tem-

peratures, the control reduces the heat-

ing output. The outdoor temperature is

measured by a separate sensor which is

mounted in the open air, and the results

are transmitted to the control.

The room temperature depends only

on the preset values. The system com-

pensates for the effect of the outdoor

temperature.

Hot water generation is not affected by the

weather compensation.

3.3 Back-up boiler

The → operating instructions for the rel-

evant product describe how to operate the

back-up boiler.

3.4 Task of the heat pump system

The heat pump system generates heat in

domestic hot water heating installations by

extracting the thermal energy from a heat

source circuit and releasing this into the

heating circuit via the internal refrigeration

circuit. From an outdoor temperature of

approximately 0 °C, the heat pump's heat-

ing output is no longer sufficient. As of this

temperature, the heat pump is supported

by the electric back-up heater or the gas-

fired boiler, depending on the system.

The domestic hot water is generated in

mono-energetic mode by the heat pump

with the support of an electric back-up

heater. With hybrid systems, the domestic
