Longitudinal seat adju stment:
Pull handle, slide seat , release
handle.
Danger:
Do not sit nearer than 25 cm from
the steering whee l, to permit safe
airbag deployment.
Seat backrests:
Pull lever, adj ust inclinatio n and
release lever. A llow the backre st to
engage audibly.
Do not angle the backrest too far
back. We recommend a maximum
rake of approx. 25
o
.
Seat height:
Lever pumping motion :
up = seat higher
down = seat lower
Seat position:
Sit with buttocks as far back
against backre st as possible.
Adjust distance between se at and
pedals so that legs are slightly
angled when depressing p edals.
Head restraint adju stment:
Press the rel ease button, adjus t
height, then rele ase button and
engage.
The upper edge of the he ad
restraint should be level with the
top of the head.
Steering whee l adjustment :
Unlock the lever, adjus t the
steering wheel, then eng age the
lever and ensu re it is fully lo cked.
Adjust only when veh icle is
stationary an d steering wheel lock
is released.
Interior mirror:
Swivel mirror housing.
Swivel lever on underside of the
mirror housin g to reduce d azzle at
night.
In vehicles with automatic anti-
dazzle interior mi rror, dazzle is
automatically reduced.
Exterior mirror s:
Select the releva nt exterior mirr or
by turning the co ntrol to left (L) or
right (R ). Then swivel the cont rol to
adjust the mirror.
Lighting:
Turn light switch :

8 Sidelights
9 High or low beam

Automatic light control:
Turn light switch to AUTO position.
With the engine ru nning, low beam
switches on automatically
depending on outsid e light
conditions .
For reasons of safety, the light
switch should alw ays remain in the
AUTO position.
Do not cover light sensor on top of
the instrument panel to ensure
proper function of automatic light
control.
Daytime r unning li ghts:
Daytime runnin g lights increas e
visibility of the vehicle du ring
daylight.
The lights operate a utomatically
when the igni tion is switc hed on.
Headlight f lash, high beam and
low beam
Headlight flash = Pull lever
High beam = Push lever
Low beam = Pull lever
Headlight rang e adjustment:
With low beam 9 on, adapt
headlight ra nge to suit ve hicle lo ad
and prevent dazzling of other road
users.

Turn and la ne-change si gnals:
Lever up = Right turn signal
Lever down = Left turn signal
If the lever is moved past the
resistance point, the turn signal is
switched on constantly. When the
steering whee l is moved back, th e
turn signal is automatical ly
deactivated.
For three flas hes, e.g. whe n
changing lane s, press the lever u ntil
resistance is felt a nd then releas e.
Move lever to resistance point and
hold for longer indication.
Switch the turn signal off manually
by moving the lever to its original
positio n.
Rear window wiper/was her:
Move the lever to activate the rear
window wiper.
push lever = wiper on
pull lever = wiper off
To activate rear window washer
system, press an d hold button on
end of lever. Washer fluid is
sprayed o nto re ar windo w and th e
wiper wipes a few times when the
button is released.
Do not use if the r ear window is
frozen.
Switch off in car washes.
Hazard warning fla shers:
Operated with button
¨ on the
instrument panel .
In the event of an accid ent where
the airbags are deploy ed, the
hazard warning flas hers are
activated automatically.
Windscreen w iper:
O = O f f
$ = Timed interval wipe
% = S l o w
& = F a s t
For a single wipe when the
windscreen wiper is off, pres s the
lever down.
Do not use if the wi ndscreen is
frozen.
Switch off in car wa shes.
Heated rear wind ow, heated
exterior mirrors:
The heating is operate d by
pressing button

Heating works with the engi ne
running and s witches off
automatically after a short time.
Demisting and defrosti ng the
windows:
Air distributio n to l.
Cooling
n and air recircu lation 4
are switched on auto matically to
improve defrosti ng efficiency.
Set temperature to highest level.
Set fan speed to highest level.
Switch on heated rear win dow

Close centre air vents , open side air
vents and direct them towards the
door window s.
Power seat adjus tment:
Move front switch forwards/
backwards t o adjust seat posi tion.
Move front and rear of front switch
to adjust heig ht of seat cush ion.
Move upper part of rear switch
forwards/backwards to adjust seat
backrest.
Seat belt:
Withdraw seat belt from retractor,
guide it untwisted across the body
and insert la tch plate in be lt buckle.
To release belt, press red button on
belt buckle.
Lumbar support:
Move lever forwards/back wards t o
increase/decrease l umbar support.
Adjust lumbar support to suit
personal re quirements.
Seat belt heig ht adjustment :
Squeeze rele ase buttons together
and slide a djuster up or down to
desired p osition.
Ensure slid ing height adju ster is
latched into position.
Do not adjust he ight whilst dr iving.
Power windows:
With the ignition on, power
windows are oper ated via the
switches in the door.
Front switches operate the front
windows and rear switches opera te
the rear windows.
Incremental o peration:
Push switch briefly = To open
Pull switch briefly = To close
Automatic function:
Push or pull switch for long er.
Window moves up or down
automatically with safety function
enabled. To stop movement,
operate the sw itch once more in th e
same direction
If the window glass encounters
resistance above th e middle of the
window during automatic closing,
it is immediately s topped and
opened again.
Child saf ety syst em for rea r pow er
windo ws:
Press switch

With the child safety system on,

driv er ’s door .
Folding in ex terior mirro rs:
Manually:
Apply sli ght pres sure to outer edg e
of mirror housing .
Electrically:
With key in ACC or ON position,
press n and both mirrors will fold
in. Press n again to fold mirrors
back to the driving positi on before
starting off.
For ped estrian safety, exterior
mirrors will s wing out of th eir
normal mounting position if they
are struck with suf ficient force.
Reposition mirrors before drivi ng.
Windscreen and hea dlight
washer:
Pull lever. Washer flui d is sprayed
onto the windscree n and the wiper
wipes a few times.
If the headli ghts are on, washer
fluid is al so spraye d onto the
headlights. The head light washer
system can only be operat ed again
after a sh ort dela y.
In vehicles with rain sensor ,
keep sensor area cle an by
operating wash syst em regularly.
Front fog lights:
With ignitio n on and light s witch set
to 8 or 9 , pr es s switch

Rear fog light:
With ignitio n on and light s witch set
to 9 (or 8 with front fog lights

With light swit ch in AUTO position,
switching on front o r rear fog lights
will switch on low beam and
