Longitud inal seat adjust ment:
Pull handle, sl ide seat, rele ase

Danger:
Do not sit nearer than 25 cm from
the steering wheel, to pe rmit safe

Seat backrest s:
Pull lever to wards the rear, ad just
inclination a nd release lever. Allo w
the backrest to engage audibly.
Do not angle the backrest to o far
back. We recommend a maximum
rake of approx. 25

.
Seat height:
Lever pumping motion.

Head restraint adju stment:
Press the rele ase button, adjust
height and eng age.
Pull the head res traint forwards
slowly to adjust to one of several
horizontal positions a nd engage.
The upper edge of th e head
restraint should be at upper head
level.
Seat belt:
Withdraw seat belt from retractor,
guide it untwiste d across the bo dy
and insert latch plate in belt b uckle.
To release bel t, press red b utton on
belt buckle .
Automatic anti-dazz le interior
mirror:
Dazzle from follow ing vehicles at
night is automatically reduced if
the vehicle is eq uipped with an
automatic anti-dazzle interior
mirror.
The lever will no t be present on the
underside of th e mirror housing .
Exterio r mirror s:
Select the relevant exterior mirror
by turning the control to left (L ) or
right (R).
Swivel the control to adjust the
mirror.
In position 0 no mirror is sel ected.
Folding in exterior mirror s:
Manually:
Apply s light pr essure t o outer edge
of mirror hous ing.
Electrically:
Turn control to 0 and push control
down to fold exterior mirrors.
Push control down again to return
them to their original position.
If an electrically fo lded mirror is
manually extend ed, pushing th e
control down will only electrically
extend the other mirror.
Operating windows and soft top
with remote control (continued):
Press button e once briefly: the
doors are locke d.
Hold button e pressed once more:
the sof t top an d the wi ndows wil l be
closed. Hold button e pressed until
soft top is completely closed.
Release button e during closing of
the soft top: movement stops for
10 seconds; pres s button e again
to continue closing the soft top.
If the so ft top is already closed wi th
the windows open , press button e
for two seconds af ter locking to
close the windows .
Lighting:

Turn and la ne-change si gnals:
Lever up = R ight turn signal
Lever down = Left turn signal
If the lever is moved past th e
resistance point, the turn signal is
switched on constant ly. When the
steering w heel is moved back the
turn signal is automatical ly
deactivated.
For three flashes , e.g. when
changing la nes, press the lever u ntil
resistance is felt a nd then releas e.
Move lever to resistance point and
hold for long er indicat ion.
Automatic ligh t control:
When the function is switched on,
with the engine running the system
switches between d aytime running
lights an d headli ghts, d epending
on external li ghting conditi ons and
informatio n from the r ain sensor.
Daytime runn ing ligh ts:
Increases vis ibility of the vehicl e
during dayli ght.
Automatic headlig ht activation:
During po or lighting co nditions the
headlights are switch ed on.
Headlights are also swi tched on
when windscreen wiper has be en
activated for several wipes .
Tunnel detectio n:
When a tunnel is entered , the
headlights switch on automatically.
Front fog ligh ts:
Operated with the
> button.

Switching on front fog li ghts will
switch headlights on au tomatically.
Rear fog light:
Operated with the
r button.

Switching on rear fog light will
switch headlights on au tomatically.

Headlig ht range adjustment :
To adapt headlight range to the
vehicle lo ad to prevent d azzling of

Windscreen and hea dlight
washer:
Pull lever. Washe r fluid is sprayed
onto the windscreen and the wiper
wipes a few times.
If the headlights are on, washer
fluid is also sprayed onto the
headlights, prov ided that the lever
is pulled for a suf ficiently lon g
period.
The headlight wash er system is
then inoperable for 5 wash cycles
or until engine or headlights have
been switched off and on aga in.
Headlight fla sh, high beam and
low beam
Headlight flash = Pul l lever
High beam = Push lever
Low beam = Pull or push lever
High beam assist
This feature allows high be am to
function as the main dr iving light at
night and when veh icle speed is
faster than 25 mph.
To activate, push the lever
forwards twice at a speed a bove
25 mph.
The green co ntrol indi cator l
illuminates co ntinuously wh en high
beam assist is activated, the blue
one 7 illuminates when high beam
is on.
Hazard warning flashers:
Operated with the
¨ button.
In the event of a n accident where
the airbags are deployed , the
hazard warning fl ashers are
activated automatically.
Heated rear window, he ated
exterior mirrors:
The heating is operated by
pressing the
Ü button. The LED i n
the button indicates activation.
Heating functions with the engine
running and s witches off
automatically after a short time.
Heated rear window is deactivated
when the soft to p is opened.
Demisting and defrosting the
windows:
Press butt on
V.
Fan automatically switches to
higher speed and air is directed
towards the windscreen.
Set the tempera ture contro l to the
highest level.
Switch cooling
n on.
Switch heated rear window
Ü on.
Open side air vents and direct th em
towards the door windows.
Seat position:
Sit with buttocks as far back
against backre st as possible.
Adjust distance between se at and
pedals so that legs are sligh tly
angled when depressing p edals.
Slide the front pa ssenger seat as
far back as possible.
Steering whee l adjustment:
Unlock the lever, adjust the
steering wheel, then engage the
lever and en sure it is full y locked.
Adjust only wh en vehicle is
stationary a nd steerin g wheel lock
is released .
Seat inclin ation:

Interior mirror:
Swivel mirro r housing to ad just.
To reduce dazz le, adjust the lever
on the underside of the mirror
housing.
4-window switch:
Central switch in the centre conso le
is used to operate all win dows.
Push switc h , briefly to open all
windows autom atically.
Pull switch , briefly to close all
windows autom atically.
Safety function:
If the window glass encounters
resistance above th e middle of the
window during automatic closing,
it is immediately s topped and
opened again.
Operating wi ndows and s oft top
with remote control:
The windows and the soft top can
be operated remotel y from outside
the veh icle.
Press button c once briefly: th e
doors are unlocked.
Press button c again for
two seconds: the windows o pen
automatically.
Hold button c pressed after
unlocking: the s oft top will be
opened. Hold b utton c pressed
until soft top is completely open ed.
Release button c during opening of
the soft top: movement stops for
10 seconds; press button c aga in
to continue opening the s oft top.
Power windows:
Switch on ignition to operate.
Front switches operate the front
windows and rear swi tches operate
the rear windows.
Push swi tch = Open window
Pull switch = Close window
Push or pull s witch gently to the first
detent positio n: Window move s up
or down as lon g as the switch is
operated.
Push or pull switch to the second
detent position and then releas e:
Window opens or closes
automatically. Operate th e switch
again to stop window movement.
If the window glass encounters
resistance above the middle of the
window during automatic closing,
it is immediately stopped and
opened again .
Windscreen wiper:

For a single wipe w hen the
windscreen wiper is off, press the
lever down.
Vehicles with adjustab le wiper
interval: With wiper lever in
positio n P,
turn adjuster wheel
upwards or downwards to make
wiping interval shorter or longer.
Do not use if the win dscreen is
frozen.
Switch off in car washes .
