Longitudinal seat adju stment:
Pull handle , slide seat, release

Lumbar su pport:
Adjust using th e four-way swi tch to
suit personal requirements.
To move support up and down:
push switch up or down .

Down = Front end lower
Adjustable thigh sup port:
Pull the lever and slide th e thigh
support.
Seat position :
Sit with buttocks are as far back
against backrest as pos sible.
Adjust distance between seat and
pedals so that your legs are slight ly
angled when depre ssing pedals.
Slide the fron t passenger sea t as
far back as possib le.
Head restraint adju stment:
Press butt on, adjust height an d
engage in positio n. The upper ed ge
of the head restraint should be at
upper head le vel.
To adjust horizontally, pu ll the
head restraint forwards. It e ngages
in several positi ons.
Seat belt height adjus tment:
1 . Pull belt out slightly
2. Press but ton
3. Adjust height a nd engage
Adjust heig ht so the be lt lies a cross
the shoulder. It must not li e across
the throat or upper arm. Do not
adjust while d riving.
Fitting seat belts:
Withdraw seat belt from retractor,
guide it untwis ted across the body
and insert latch plate in belt b uckle.
Tighten the lap belt regularly whilst
driving by pullin g the shoulder belt.
Loose or bulk y clothing preve nts
the belt from fitting snugly. Do not
place objects such as han dbags or
mobile phones between the bel t
and your body.
To release b elt, pres s red butto n on
belt buckle.
Fasten seat belt before each tri p.
Steering whe el adjustmen t:
Unlock the lever, adjust the
steering wheel, then engage lever
and ensure it is fully lock ed.
Do not adjust the steering wheel
unless the vehicle i s stationary and
the steering wheel lock has been
released.
Interior mirror:
To reduce dazzle, adjust the lever
on the underside of the mirror
housing.
Dazzle from followi ng vehicles at
night is automatically reduced if
the vehicle is eq uipped with
automatic anti-dazzle interior
mirror. The leve r will not be present
on the underside of the mirror
housing.
Power windows:
With the ignition on, power
windows are operated vi a the
switches in the door.
Push switch = Open win dow
Pull switch = Close windo w
Push or pull s witch gently to the f irst
detent position: Window moves up
or down as long as the switch is
operated.
Push or pull sw itch to the second
detent position and th en release:
Window opens or closes
automatically.
If the window glass encounters
resistance above the mid dle of the
window during automatic closing,
it is immediatel y stopped and
opened agai n.
Adjustin g electric ex terior mirr ors:
Select the relevant exterior mirror
by turning the control to left (L)
or righ t (R).
Swivel the control to adjust the
mirror.
In position 0 , no mirror is se lected.
Folding in elect ric exterior mirrors:
Turn control to 0 , then push the
control down. Both exterior mirrors
will fold .
Push the contro l down again - both
exterior mirrors return to their
original pos ition.
If an electrica lly folded mirr or is
manually ex tended, push ing the
control dow n will only electr ically
extend the other mirror.
For ped estrian s afety, exterio r
mirrors will s wing out of t heir
normal mounting position if they
are struck with suf ficient force.
Reposition the mirror before driving
by applying slight pressure to the
mirror housin g.
Light switch:

Automatic light control :
When the function is switche d on,
with the engine running the system
switches between daytime running
lights and headli ghts, dependi ng
on external lighti ng condition s and
information f rom the rain sensor.
Daytime runn ing light s:
Increases vis ibility of the vehicle
during daylig ht.
Automatic headli ght activation:
During poor li ghting condit ions the
headlights are switche d on.
The headlights are al so switched
on automatically if the winds creen
wipers have been activated for
several swipes.
Tunnel detection:
When a tunnel is entered the
headlights are switche d on
automatically.
Exit lightin g:
Remove the key from the ignition:
Interior lights , instrument panel
lights and pudd le lights illum inate
for a short period of time.
Lights will switch off automatically
after a short delay.
Headlig ht range adju stment q:
Adapt headlight range to suit th e
vehicle load to preven t dazzling of
other road us ers.

Turn and lane -change si gnals:
Lever up = Rig ht turn signal
Lever down = Left turn signal
If the lever is moved past the
resistance point, the turn signal i s
switched on constantly. When the
steering whe el is moved back, th e
turn signal is automatically
deactivated.
For three flas hes, e.g. when
changing la nes, press the leve r until
resistance is fe lt and then re lease.
Move the lever to the resistance
point and hold for longer
indication.
Operating he adlight fl ash, high
beam and low beam:
Headlight flash = Pull lever

Windscreen wipe r:

For a single wipe when the wiper is
off, press the le ver down.
Vehicles with adjustable wiper
interval: With wiper lever in
position P ,
turn adjuster wheel
upwards or downwards to make
wiping interval shorter or longer.
Do not use wiper if the windsc reen
is frozen.
Switch wiper off in car washes.
Windscreen and head light
washer:
Pull lever toward s steering whee l.
Washer fluid is sprayed onto the
windscreen and the wiper swipes
for a few strokes.
If the headlig hts are on, wash er
fluid is also sprayed onto the
headlights, pr ovided that the lever
is pulled fo r a sufficie ntly long
period.
The headlight was her system is
then inoperab le for 5 was h cycles
or until engi ne or headlig hts have
been switched off and on ag ain.
Rear window wiper/was her:
Press the rocker switch to activate
the rear window wiper:
upper positio n = continuous
operation
lower position = intermittent
operation
middle position = off
Pull lever toward s steering wh eel to
activate rear window washer.
Washer fluid is sprayed onto th e
rear window and the wip er swipes
for a few strokes.
The rear window wiper comes on
automatically when the winds creen
wiper is switched on and reverse
gear is engaged.
Hazard warnin g flashers:
Operated with the
¨ button.
In the event of an accident wher e
the airbags are deployed the
hazard warnin g flashers ar e
activated automatically.
Heated rear window,
heated exterior mi rrors Ü:
The heating is op erated by
pressing th e
Ü button.
Heating work s with the engine
running and swit ches off
automatically after a short time.
Depending o n engine type, heating
comes on automatically during
driving when the diesel par ticle
filter is bein g cleaned.
Demisting and defrosti ng
windows V:
Press button V:
Fan automatically switches to
higher speed and a ir is directed
towards the windscreen.
Set the temperature co ntrol to the
highest level .
Switch cooling

Switch heated rear window
