Registering the navigation system

In order to activate other C-IQ products, you must register your navigation system with

C-IQ Service. This also ensures that you will receive updated CDs on a regular basis, and

will therefore always be using the latest maps (does not apply to unlimited activation).

Registering the system also provides you with additional anti-theft protection. If a unit

is registered with C-IQ Service as stolen, C-IQ Service will not issue any new access

codes for C-IQ products.

To register your navigation system, you need the “Navi ID”. The 8-digit Navi ID ensures

unique identification of each navigation system. In a small number of cases the Initial

ID or version number of your map software is also required.

You can access this data as follows:

Select ”C-IQ” in the navigation

menu.

Select “Navi ID”.

The Navi ID, the Initial ID, the map

CD currently loaded (CD ID) and the

software ID of the navigation soft

ware are displayed.

By selecting “HELP” you will receive

help on the current C-IQ topic.

Make a note of the Navi ID and the CD ID. You can now contact C-IQ Service and

Activating products

Once you have received your access code, enter it as follows.

Select “Code input” in the C-IQ menu.

The “Code input” menu is displayed.

Enter the entire code.

Using “<<” and “>>” you can move

the cursor within the code to make

changes.

If the code is complete, the cursor

will automatically move to “OK”.

Confirm the code you entered.

Once you have entered a correct

code, the system will display information about the C-IQ products you have just acti

vated.

The system will inform you if an incorrect code has been entered, and/or if your sys

tem software is not capable of processing the encrypted information.

If you have entered the code incorrectly, select “OK” to correct it and confirm it

again.

Select “C-IQ Service” to view the C-IQ Service contact data.
