The appliance is intended solely for installation and

operation in sealed unvented heating systems that

comply with EN 12828, with due attention paid to

CECS 215-2017 and the associated installation, serv-

ice and operating instructions. It is only designed for

heating up heating water that is of potable water qual-

ity.

Intended use presupposes that a fixed installation in

conjunction with permissible, system-specific compo-

nents has been carried out.

The appliance is intended exclusively for domestic or

semi-domestic use; even users who have not had any

instruction are able to operate the appliance safely.

Commercial or industrial usage for a purpose other

than heating the building or DHW shall be deemed

inappropriate.

Any usage beyond this must be approved by the man-

ufacturer in each individual case.

Incorrect usage or operation of the appliance (e.g. the

appliance being opened by the system user) is prohibi-

ted and will result in an exclusion of liability. Incorrect

usage also occurs if the components in the heating

system are modified from their intended use (e.g. if the

flue gas and ventilation air paths are sealed).

Product information

Vitovalor PT2

The Vitovalor PT2 is a micro combined heat and power

unit comprising a fuel cell module and a gas condens-

ing module. To generate heat and power, the

Vitovalor PT2 is operated with natural gas.

Fuel cell module

Integral components such as the reformer, fuel cells

and inverter generate heat and power from the sup-

plied natural gas. Detailed information on the fuel cell

module can be found in chapter "Terminology" in the

Appendix.

Gas condensing module

The integral gas condensing module provides cover for

peaks in demand for heat generation. If the heat gen-

erated by the fuel cell is insufficient, the gas condens-

ing module starts up to ensure heating comfort.

Hydraulics

The heating water is pumped into the secondary circuit

by the integral high efficiency circulation pump.

Depending on the system configuration, the heating

water can be used for central heating and/or for DHW

heating.

Operation

The control unit is integrated into the heat generator

and controls all functions of your system. The control

unit is operated via a 7 inch touchscreen.

A communications module is integrated in the control

unit. This means the system can also be operated

remotely via the internet with an app.

In weather-compensated operation you can select

some functions via a remote control, in room tempera-

ture-dependent operation the same can be done via a

room temperature controller.

Control unit

The Vitovalor PT2 is suitable for heat biased or power-

optimised operation. By means of the integrated

energy manager, the fuel cell can be operated in a

manner optimised for own consumption.

Permissible ambient conditions in the installation room

ated outside the specified temperature ranges.

Ensure that the specified temperature range is

maintained in the installation room.

To avoid malfunctions, ensure a temperature between

+5 and +40 °C.
