Installation of the
mulch insert

Open
H= ejection flap
Position
19= mulch insert in the
ejection tunnel.
Press mulch insert until it
audibly locks, as
illustrated.
Close ejection flap again
manually.

Removal of the mulch
insert MB 450 M,
MB 455 M
The mulch insert must be
removed to use the multi-
mower as a rear-ejection
mower or a grass collector
(with attached grass catcher
bag).
It is not necessary to replace
the blade.
Open
H= ejection flap.
Pull up
20= detent catch on
19= mulch insert and remove
mulch insert.
Close ejection flap or
attach grass catcher bag.

Adjusting the cutting
height
There are 7 cutting height
adjustment settings ranging
from 24 to 75 mm.
Cutting levels 2 to 6 are
standard.
Level 1 = lowest cutting
height
Level 7 = highest cutting
height
K= Adjustment lever for the
central height adjustment
is located next to the left
rear wheel.
First, gently push
adjustment lever in
direction of the wheel
and then allow to lock in
the desired position
(= cutting height).

CAUTION
Risk of injury.
Only adjust the cutting
height when the engine is
switched off or the mowing
blade is disengaged
(MB 455 BC).
Fuel and engine oil
Always use:
fresh, good quality fuel -
normal, lead-free petrol.
Checking engine oil
Check engine oil
level at regular
intervals. The oil
level must be
within the marked field on
the dipstick.
To measure the oil level,
screw the dipstick fully in.
Please consult the engine
instruction manual for the
type of engine oil to be used
and the filling quantity.
Pull
H= ejection flap upwards.
Attaching:
Attach grass catcher bag
with
17= snap-in hooks in the
18= apertures provided on the
appliance. Close ejection
flap again manually.
Detaching:
Detach grass catcher bag
from the
17= snap-in hooks and
remove.
Close
H= ejection flap again
manually.
CAUTION

mulching key when the
engine is switched off or
the mowing blade is dis-
engaged (MB 455 BC).
