Danger of electrocution
■ Only use and store the device in enclosed areas. Do not use the device outdoors or
in rooms with high humidity.
■ Only connect the mains adapter to a properly installed socket with protective earth
contacts. The socket must also be easily accessible after connecting so that the
mains connection can be quickly disconnected. The mains voltage must correspond
to the technical data of the mains adapter. Only use proper extension cords, whose
technical data correspond to those of the device.
■ Never immerse the device, the mains cord and the mains adapter in water or other
liquids and make sure that there is no risk of them falling in water or getting wet.
■ If liquid does penetrate the device, immediately pull the mains adapter out of the
socket. Before restarting the device, have it inspected by a quali" ed workshop.
! Never touch the device with wet hands.
! Immediately switch the device off in the event of damage / disturbances (e. g. unusual
noises, emission of odours or smoke) and in a storm and pull the mains adapter out
of the socket.
! Make sure that the mains cord does not get pinched, kinked or laid over sharp edges
and does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
! Do not carry or pull the mains adapter by the mains cord.
Fire hazard
! Do not use the device in rooms where there is a risk of fl ammable dust or toxic and
explosive vapours and substances being present in the air. Never operate the device
near a gas source.
■ Do not use the device under a blanket or similar or near fl ammable materials.
Avoiding damage to materials, property and the device
■ Do not lay or stand on the device. The device may only be used in a sitting position.
■ Never place heavy objects on the device.
■ Keep a suf" cient distance to heat sources, e.g. hobs or ovens.
! Protect the device against heat, open fl ames, direct sunlight, extreme temperatures,
moisture and percussions.
■ Do not switch the device on if it is folded up.
■ Do not use any additional accessories.
■ Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning products to clean the device. They could
damage the surface.
■ Store the device in a dry place at temperatures between 0 and 40 °C.
