injury (e.g. from electricity or ﬁ re). Read through the

associated safety instructions carefully and follow

Explanation of the Signal Words

Intended Use

• The device is intended to be used to humidify and refresh air

(using essential oils if necessary).

• The device is also suitable for use as a small lamp.

• The device is for personal domestic use only and is not suitable

for commercial applications.

• Use the device only for the intended purpose and as described

in the instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.

• The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects caused

by improper handling, damage or unauthorised attempts at re-

pair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

Safety Instructions

DANGER – Danger of Electric Shock from Water

■ Use and store the device only in closed rooms. Do not operate

the device in rooms with high humidity.

■ No liquid must not get into the bottom of the device. Do not im-

merse it in water or expose it to persistent moisture! Only the

water reservoir and the cover may become wet.

■ Never immerse the mains adapter in water or other liquids! En-

sure that it cannot fall into water or become wet.

■ Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply

immediately. Do not attempt to pull the device out of the water

while it is still connected to the mains power!

■ Never touch the mains adapter with wet hands when it is con-

nected to the mains power.

■ Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned or been dropped

in water. Have it checked in a specialist workshop before using

it again.

■ The device must always be disconnected from the mains power

when left unattended and before cleaning it.

WARNING – Danger of Electric Shock from Dam-

age and Inappropriate Use

■ The mains adapter should only be connected to a properly in-

stalled socket with safety contacts. The socket must also be

readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the

mains can quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must match

the rating plate of the device and the mains adapter.

■ Only use suitable extension cables whose technical data is the

same as that of the device and the mains adapter.

■ The device must be switched off when the mains adapter is

pulled out or inserted into the plug socket.

WARNING – Danger of Injury

■ Danger of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from

the packaging material.

■ Supervise children to ensure that they do not play with the device.

■ Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by chil-

dren.

■ Danger of tripping! Make sure that the connected mains cable

does not present a trip hazard.

WARNING – Danger of Fire

■ Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable or

explosive substances.

■ To prevent overheating, do not use the device under a blanket

or similar cover.

■ Unwind the mains cable fully before connecting the mains

adapter.

NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property

■ Do not use the mains adapter with another device and never

use the device with another mains adapter.

■ Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid

over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot sur-

faces.

■

When the mains adapter is removed from the plug socket, al-

ways pull on the mains adapter and never the mains cable. Do

not pull or carry the device by the mains cable. Never wind the

mains cable around the device or the mains adapter.

■ Never place heavy objects on the device or the mains cable.

■ Protect the device from: impacts, ﬁ re, heat, direct sunlight, sub-

zero temperatures.

■ Do not use any additional accessories not recommended by

the manufacturer.

■ In the event of damage / faults, switch the device off immedi-

ately. Do not use the device if it is damaged.

■ Do not make any changes to the device and do not attempt to

repair it. In the event of any damage, please contact our cus-

tomer service department.

■ Some items of furniture have coatings which might attack the

rubber feet of the device. If necessary, a mat should therefore

be placed under the device.

■ The individual LEDs cannot be replaced.

■ Do not insert anything into the openings of the device and make

sure that these are not blocked. The device must not be used

with blocked openings.

■ Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents for clean-

ing. These can damage the surface.
