Duetothe sensitivemeasuringinput, thedisplaymay showavalue
in caseof „open“measuringleads. BypressingtheREL key(8),the
display is set to „0“.
- Nowconnect thetwo testprods (red= positivepole/black =negative pole)with
the object to bemeasured (condenser). After a short whilethe display shows the
capacity. Wait until the displayhas stabilised. With capacities of>40 µF, this
may take a few seconds.
- As soonas „OL“(overload) appears onthe display,you haveexceeded the mea-
suring range.
- After measuring, remove the measuring leads from the measuring object and
turn the measuring device off. Turn the rotary switch to „OFF“.
g) Temperature measurement
- Plug thetemperature measuringadapterincludedin thescopeofdelivery inthe
two measuring sockets ofthe measuring device. Ensure thecorrect polarity. The
contact of the measuring adapter marked „+“ must be plugged into the red V
socket (11).
- Plug the supplied wire temperature sensor into the measuring adapter. Ensure
thecorrect polarity. The contactofthe temperature sensor marked„+“ must be
plugged into the socket of the measuring adapter.

Any standard K-type temperature sensor with a mini-socket can be
used.
The wiretemperature sensor included inthe scope of deliveryis suit-
able for temperature measurements from +40 to 250 °C.
- Turn the measuring device on at the rotary switch and select measuring range
TEMP.
- Select the „°C“ (degrees centigrade) or „°F“ (degrees Fahrenheit)unitswiththe
MODE key (7).
- The measuring devicedisplaysthe temperature-it cantakeapprox.30 seconds
for the measuring value to stabilise.
