troubleshoo ting necessary to install and oper ate
your new VT ech product . Please re view this
manual thor oughly to ensur e proper installation
and operation of this innovativ e and featur e rich
VT ech product.
What’s in the bo x
Install the battery
The parent unit runs on rechargeable battery or
AC power. To continuously monitor your baby,
make sure you use both battery and AC power
at the same time. With the battery alone, the
parent unit can cordlessly run for a short time
only.
NOTE
• Use only the battery supplied with this product.
• If the parent unit will not be used for a long time,
disconnect and remove the battery to prevent
possible leakage.
Install the battery as shown below.
• Press do wn on the battery compartment cov er to
pull it out.

inserting the battery .
Replace the battery
To replace the battery, pull ou t the battery
compartment cover , a nd th en li f t up th e bat ter y .
Follow the steps above to install the new
battery.
Connect and char ge the
battery
NOTE
• Use only the power ada ptors supplied with this
product.
• Make sure the electrical outlets are not controlled by
wall switches.
• The power ada ptors are intended to be correctly
oriented in a vertical or floor mount position. The
tips are not designed to hold the plug in place if
they a re plugged into a ceiling, under-the-table or
cabinet outlet.
• Make sure the parent unit, the baby unit and the
power ada ptor cords are out of reach of children.
Connect the baby monitor
Charge the parent unit battery
When you have connected the parent unit
and installed its battery for the first time or
after power outage, the parent unit powers on
automatically. The battery icon indicates the
battery status (see the following table).
NOTE
• The parent unit battery is fully charged after
3 hours of continuous charging.
• It takes longer to charge the battery when the
parent unit is turned on. To shorten the charging
time, turn the parent unit off while charging.

Before use
• This baby monitor is intended as an aid. It is not a
substitute for proper adult supervision, and should
not be used as such.
T est your baby monitor
You may test the baby monitor before initial use,
and at regular times thereafter.
• For hearing protection, make sure the pa rent
unit is more than 3 feet (1 metre ) away from
the baby unit. If you h ea r any high-pitched
noise, mov e the parent unit furthe r until the
noise stops. You can also press V O L /- on the
parent unit to lower or mute the noise.

• Increase the speaker volume of the parent unit if
you cannot hear the sounds transmitted from the
baby uni t.
Positioning the baby monitor
• Keep the baby unit out of reach of you r baby.
Never place or mount the baby unit inside the
baby’s cot or playpen.
• T o avoid interf erenc e from other electronic devices,
place your baby monitor far aw ay from de vices such
as wir eless routers, micr owaves, cell phones and
computers.

CAUTION

Operating range
The operating range of the baby monitor is up
to 1 ,00 0 fe et (30 0 metr es ) outdoors or 160 feet
(50 met res) indoors. The actual operating range
may vary depending on the environmental
conditions and other interferences such as walls,
doors and other obstructions.

If you drill the holes into a stud, go to s tep 3.
-OR-
If you drill the holes into an object other than a stud,
insert the wall anchors into the holes. Tap gently on
the ends with a hammer until the wall anchors are flush
with the wall.
Place the wall mount br acket on a wall and then use a
pencil to mark the top and the bott om holes as shown.
Remov e the wall mount brack et and drill tw o holes in the
wall (7 /32 inch drill bit).
• Check for r eception str ength and camera angle befor e drilling the
holes.
Align the w all mount brack et and scre ws with the holes in
the wall as sho wn. Tight en the screw in the middle hole
first, so that the w all mount brack et position is fixed. Y ou
can tighten the other screw in the top hole.
Place the bab y unit on the wall moun t brack et. Tighten
the screw into the threaded socke t at the bottom to
secure the bab y unit .
Insert the scr ews into the holes and tighten the scr ews
until only 1/ 4 inch of the scre ws are exposed.
The default angle of the w all mount brack et is 90 degr ees. Y ou c an maximize y our bab y unit’ s viewing angles b y tilting the wall
mount brack et.
Hold the bab y unit, and then rota te the knob in anticlockwise dir ection. This will loosen the joint of the wall mount br acket .
Tilt y our bab y unit up or down to adjust to y our pr eferr ed angle. Then, r otat e the knob in clockwise direction to tight en the
joint and secure the angle.
Place the bab y unit on the wall moun t brack et. Tighten
the screw into the threaded socke t at the bottom to
secure the bab y unit . Align the holes on the w all mount
bracket with the scr ews on the wall, and slide the wall
mount brack et down until it locks into place.
