USER’S MANUAL

Dear Customer,

We thank you for having chosen a Webasto Diavia “PORDOI” refrigeration system which stands

out for its reliability, quality and technological innovation.

The capillary network of Webasto Diavia Authorized Service Centers offers prompt, effective

maintenance and technical service. We suggest you keep this manual and, if you sell your vehicle,

pass it on to the new owner. The materials used in the refrigeration system have been have me-

ticulously selected and only ORIGINAL Webasto Diavia SPARE PARTS must be used, obtained

through the vast, capillary network of authorized Webasto Diavia service centers. Installing re-

frigeration system accessories or spare parts not authorized by Webasto Diavia can, in fact, dam-

age the system itself and, at times, even parts of the vehicle.

Always contact Authorized Webasto Diavia Service Center.

The manual for control unit is attached to the present publication and is to be con-

sidered an integral part of these instructions.

THE ADVANTAGES OF THE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

The advantages of the “PORDOI” Refrigerator are to be found in its functional characteristics. In

fact, the “PORDOI” Refrigerator lets you transport perishable goods that need a low temperature,

refrigerated environment for preservation.

Suitably regulating the system with the thermo regulator installed in the cabin lets you transport

dairy products, fish, eggs, fruit, vegetables, flowers, pharmaceuticals, etc. at a temperature of

0-15°C, or frozen goods at temperatures between -18°C and 0°C. For proper temperature set-

tings, see the indications reported in the tables below.

Combining the “PORDOI” refrigeration system with the “SUPER-HEATED GAS DEFROST” de-

vice (available from authorized Webasto Diavia retailers), the heat regulator can stabilize the de-

sired temperature inside the refrigeration cell, automatically activating the cooling or heating

functions.

IMPORTANT

While the vehicle is on the road, the refrigeration system runs only while the engine is run-

ning. When the engine is not running, the temperature inside the refrigeration cell is only

guaranteed by the type of insulation installed.

When the vehicle is parked, the temperature inside the refrigeration cell can be correctly

maintained by turning on the “STAND-BY” device, if installed. This device is powered with

a 220 V ~ power supply and is available from authorized Webasto Diavia retailers.

HINTS FOR THE BEST WAY TO USE THE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

Before starting to load the vehicle, pre-refrigerate the goods and bring the temperature inside the

refrigeration cell to the proper temperature. This will prevent interruption of the cold chain.

Load the vehicle being careful to ensure that the cold air produced by the refrigeration unit can

flow freely. There must be a 30 centimeter gap between the goods and the roof of the cell. Do not

block the air outlets or the refrigeration unit supply vents.

IMPORTANT

Open the refrigeration cell as little as possible !

Constantly opening the refrigeration cell brings hot, damp air into the cell causing a drop

in system performance.

Periodically check the cleaning of the condenser, normally set forward of the radiator. Water

“leaking” under the vehicle is due to normal venting of condensation by the dehumidification sys-

tem, particularly when the outside air is hot and humid.

If you feel your refrigeration system is not functioning properly, turn it off immediately and, as soon

as possible, have an Authorized Webasto Diavia service station take a look at it.

Never repair the unit on your own. ALWAYS use Authorized Webasto Diavia service centers as

they have the necessary original spare parts, technical information and equipment.
