This manual and the appliance itself pro vide impor tant safety messages, to be r ead and obser ved at all times .
This is the safety alert symbol, pertaining to safety, which alerts users to potential hazards t o themselves and
others. All safety messages will f ollow the safety alert symbol and either the terms:
DANGER
Indicates a hazardous situation which, if not a voided, will cause serious injury .
W ARNING
Indicates a hazardous situation which, if not a voided, c ould cause serious injur y .
All Safety messages will tell you what the pot ential hazard is, tell y ou how to reduce the chance of injury , and tell you
what can happen if the instructions are not follow ed.
- The appliance must be disconnected from the po wer supply before carrying out any installation work.
- Installation and maintenance must be carried out by a qualied technician, in compliance with the manufacturer’ s
instructions and local safety regulations. Do not repair or r eplace any part of the appliance unless specically stated in
the user manual.
If the information in this manual is not follo wed exactly , a re or e xplosion may
result causing property damage or injur y .
- Do not store or use gasoline or other ammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this appliance.
What to do if y ou smell gas:
- Do not tr y to light an y appliance.
- Do not touch any electrical switch.
- Do not use any phone in your building .
- Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor’ s phone . Follo w the gas supplier ’ s instructions.
- If you cannot reach your gas supplier , call the re depar tment.
- Installation and ser vice must be performed by a qualied installer , ser vice agency or the gas supplier .
- Use appliance in well v entilated rooms only .
The electrical and gas connections must comply with local regulations.
- When the hob is installed, pr ovide a multi-pole circuit br eaker with a contact
separation of at least 3 mm, that pr ovides full disconnection.
- Regulations require that the applianc e is grounded.
- The power cable must be long enough f or connecting the appliance, once tt ed in
its housing, t o the power supply
- Use only exible or rigid metal hose for gas c onnec tion.
- I f necessary , the electr ical power cable must be r eplaced exclusively with a po wer
cable having identical characteristics to the original supplied b y manufac turer
(type H05V2V2-F 90°C or H05RR-F). This operation must be per formed by a quali-
ed electrician.
- The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for an y injur y to persons or animals
or damage to property ar ising from failur e to comply with these requir ements.
- Do not use multiple plug adapters or extension cords.
- Do not pull the power supply cord in or der to unplug the appliance.
- The electr ical components must not be ac cessible to the user after installation.
- Do not touch the appliance with any w et par t of the body and do not operate it
when baref oot.
- This hob (class 3) is designed solely for priva te household use for cooking food . Do
not use this appliance as a space heat er to heat or warm the room. Doing so may
result in carbon mono xide poisoning and overheating of the hob . The Manufactu-
rer declines all r esponsibility for inappropriate use or incorr ect setting of the con-
trols .
- V er y young (0-3 years) and y oung children (3-8 years) shall be kept a way unless
continuously supervised. Children from 8 y ears old and above and persons with r e-
duced phy sical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and k nowledge
can use this appliance only if they are supervised or have been giv en instructions
on safe appliance use and if they understand the hazar ds involved . Children shall
not play with the appliance . Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made b y
children without supervision.
- The use of a gas appliance produces hea t and humidity in the room. Make sure the
room is w ell-ventilat ed, or install an extractor hood with exhaust duct.
- I n case of prolonged use , additional ventilation ma y be necessar y (by opening a
window or increasing the hood e x traction speed).
- After use, make sure the knobs are in o position and close the main gas supply
cock or the gas cylinder valve.
- O verheated oils and fa ts catch re easily . Always remain vig ilant when cooking
foods rich in fat, oil or alc ohol (e.g . rum, cognac, wine).
- Keep the pack aging materials out of the reach of childr en.
- Before cleaning or maintenanc e wait for hob t o cool down.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors

INST ALLA TION
Use protective glov es to per form all unpacking and installation operations.
After unpacking the hob, make sure that it has not been damaged during transport. In the event of problems , contact the
dealer or your nearest After-sales Service.
These instructions are only valid for the coun tries whose symbols is is shown on the rating plate (under cooktop ).
TECHNICAL INFORMA TION FOR THE INST ALLER
• This product can be embedded in a worktop 20 to 50 mm thick.
• If there is no oven benea th the hob, insert a separat or panel that has a sur face at least equal to the opening in
the work surface. This panel, that has to close c ompletely the cutout in order to a void any c ontact with the bot-
tom part of the hob, must be positioned at a maximum distanc e of 150 mm below the upper sur face of the wor k
• surface but, in no case less than 20 mm from the bottom of the hob . In the case that you intend to install an
oven benea th the hob, mak e sure that it is equipped with a cooling sy stem. The
• manufacturer declines all liability if another brand oven is installed beneath the hob .
• Before installation, mak e sure that:
– the local gas delivery conditions (nature and pressur e) are compatible with the settings of the hob (see the
rating plat e and injector table);
- the outer surfaces of the furniture or appliances adjacent to the hob are heat r esistant according to local r egulations;
- this appliance is not connected to a fume exhaust device. It shall be installed in accordance with curr ent installa-
tion regulations. P ar ticular attention shall be given t o the relevant requiremen ts regarding ventila tion.
- combustion products are discharged outdoors through specic hoods or wall and/or windo w mounted electrical fans.
GAS C ONNEC TION
This opera tion must be per formed by a qualied technician.
• The gas supply sy stem must comply with local regulations.
• Y ou can nd specic local regulations for some countries in the paragr aph
“Reference t o Local Regulations” . If no information concerning your C ountr y is
given, please ask details to y our Installer .
• The connection of the hob to the gas pipe network or gas cylinder must be
made by means of a rigid copper or steel pipe with ttings complying with
local regulations, or b y means of a continuous-sur face stainless steel hose
complying with local regulations . Interpose gasket (B ) in the elbow con-
nection.The maximum length of the hose is 2 m.
• FOR BEL GIUM ONL Y : I t is necessary to replace the elbow connection ( A ) on
the appliance, with the one supplied (if pr esent).
IMPORT ANT: if a stainless steel hose is used, it must be installed so as not t o
touch any mobile part of the furniture. It must pass thr ough an area whe-
re there are no obstructions and where it is possible to inspect it on all its
length.
• After connection to the gas supply , check for leaks with soapy water . Light
up the burners and turn the knobs from max position
to minimum
position t o check ame stability.
