Key L ock
T o ac tivate the contr ol panel lock, press and hold the button for
roughly 3 seconds. When the display visualises “KEY L OCK ” , the control
panel is locked (except f or the ON/OFF button ). This will prevent
accidental modications to wash cycles, especially when childr en are at
home. T o deactivate the control panel lock, press and hold the
button for appr oximately 3 sec onds.
Locked door indicator
When lit, the symbol indicates that the door is locked . T o prevent any
damage, wait until the symbol turns o bef ore opening the door .
T o open the door while a c ycle is in progress , press the ST ART/P AUSE
button ; if the symbol is o , the door can be opened.
FIRSTTIME USE
Once the appliance has been installed, and bef ore you use it for the rst
time, run a wash cycle with detergent and no laundry , using the wash
cycle Cotton (60° ) without option Prewash selected .
DAIL Y USE
Prepar e the laundr y by following the suggestions appearing under the
“ TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS” section.
- Press the ON/OFF butt on ; “ WHIRLPOOL ” will appear on the display .
- Open the door . Load the laundry while mak ing sure not to ex ceed the
maximum load quantity indicated in the wash cycle table.
- Push to open the deter gent dispenser drawer and pour the detergent
into the relevan t compartments, as described in the “DETERGENT
DISPENSER DRA WER” section.
- Close the door .
- The machine automatically selects the default temperature and spin
speed set for the selected wash cycle.
- Select the desired wash cycle.
- Select the desired options.
- Press the ST ART/P AUSE button to start the wash cycle; the door will
lock ( symbol on). After this operation will start the Sensing routine.
P A USING A CY CLE
T o pause the wash c ycle, press the ST ART/P AUSE butt on again. T o star t
the wash cycle from the point at which it was int errupted, press the
ST AR T/P AUSE button again.
OPENING THE DOOR , IF NECESSARY
Once a cycle starts, the symbol turns on to signal that the door cannot
be opened. While a wash cycle is running, the door remains locked. T o
open the door while a cycle is under way , for example, to add or remo ve
garments, press the ST ART/P AUSE button to pause the cycle. If the
symbol is not lit, the door may be opened. P ress the ST ART/P AUSE
button again to continue the cycle. A fter this operation will start the
Sensing routine.
ST OP&ADD
An icon on the display will signal when additional garments can be
introduced int o the washing machine, without decreasing the w ashing
per formance . T o add garments, rst stop the washing machine by
pressing the ST ART/P A USE button then open the door and inser t
them.
Press the ST ART/P AUSE button again to restart the wash cycle from
the point at which it was interrupted .
CHANGING A R UNNING W ASH CY CLE
T o change a wash c ycle while it is in progr ess, pause the washing machine
using the ST AR T/P AUSE button, then select the desired cycle and press
the ST AR T/P AUSE button again.
! T o cancel a cycle that has already begun, press and hold for a f ew
seconds the ON/OFF button. I f water is presen t then drain function will
start. The cycle will be stopped and the machine will swit ch o .

OPTIONS
- If the selected option is incompatible with the set wash cycle or with
another previously selected option, in the menu the name of
incompatible option is repr esented in grey c olor and the wording “Not
available” will appear on the display , accompanied by a buzzer , the
option will not be activated.
Fr eshCare+
This option is designed to keep y our garments fresh up to 6 hours after the
cycle is over .
The Innovative F reshCare+ system takes car e of your garments inside
the washing machine with a delicate steaming and tumbling action
. Fr eshCare+ system gently massages the laundry with regular slow
movements alternat ed with steam actions - letting air circulate inside
the bers to keep garments fresh and prev ent bad odours. FreshC are+
treatment leav es truly fresher clothes and peace of mind - even hours after
the end of the cycle. F reshCare+ tr eatment inhibits the proliferation of the
main bad odour sources (inside the washing machine) up to 6 hours after
the washing ends.
Rapid
Select this option to reduce the cycle time. This cycle is suggested for
washing light soiled clothes.
Steam Hygiene
This option enhances washing performance by generating steam during
the wash cycle to remov e any bacteria from the bres , which are treat ed
at the same time. Place the laundry in the drum, choose a compatible
programme and select option Steam Hygiene .
! The steam generated during the operation of the washing machine may
cause the porthole door to become haz y .
Start Delay
T o set a delayed star t for the selected cycle, press the c orresponding
button repeatedly un til the desired delay period is reached . When this
option has been activated, the selected values of delay start will appear
on the display . T o remov e the delayed start setting, press the button until
“--:--” appears on the display .
Easy Iron
By selecting this func tion, the wash and the spin cycles will be modied in
order to reduc e the formation of creases .
Multi Rinse
By selecting this option, the ecienc y of the rinse is increased and optimal
detergent r emoval is guaranteed . It is par ticularly useful for sensitive skin.
Press the butt on once, two or thr ee times to select an additional 1, 2 or 3
rinses after the standard cycle rinse and remove all traces of det ergent.
Press the butt on again to go back to the “Normal rinse” rinse type.
Cold W ash
This option saves ener gy by not heating the water used t o wash your
laundry – an advantage both to the environment and to y our energy bill.
Instead, intensied wash action and water optimisation ensur e great
wash results in the same av erage time of a standard cycle.
F or the best washing results we r ecommend the usage of a liquid
detergent.
Prew ash
Allows you t o per form a prewash.
T emperature
Each wash c ycle has a pre - d ened te mperatu re. T o modi f y the temp erature,
press the “ ” but ton. T he value w ill appear o n the display .
Spin
Each wash cycle has a pre- dened spin speed. T o modify the spin speed,
press the “ ” button. The value will appear on the display .
DESCALE AND CLEAN PR OCEDURE
Remind er on the display will re gularly (roughly ever y 50 cycles) remind
users that is tim e to run a maintenance c ycle to clean the w ashing machine
and combat lim escale b uild- up and b ad odo urs.
For optimal maintenan ce we suggest to ru n empt y c ycle “Cotton” at minimu m
60 °C witho ut PreW ash and using WPRO Lim escale an d grease remover.

TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS
Divide the laundry according to:
T ype of fabric (cotton, mixed bres, synthetics , wool, garments to be
hand-washed). Colour (separa te coloured garments fr om whites, wash
new coloured garments separat ely). Delicates (small garments – such as
nylon stockings – and items with hooks – such as bras: insert them in a
fabric bag).
Empty the pockets:
Objects such as coins or lighters can damage the washing machine and
the drum. Check all buttons.
