Disconnect spark plug cap and starter key before
proceeding
• Change of blades only be carried out by an approved
service station.

Gloves should be worn at all times when working on the
blade. Remove ignition key and spark plug lead when
working on the blade.
• Damaged blades should always be replaced in pairs to
ensure even balance.

nformation for Service Centre, blade retaining screw to be
tightened to:
A/F 17 mm = 38-42 Nm / A/F 13 mm = 16-20 Nm
Adjusting the Bowden cable coupling
1. Raise the drive bracket (K, 4) app. 2 cm and hold.
2. Loosen the locking nut (V, 1).
3. Turn the setscrew (V, 2) left until the drive wheels are
blocked when you pull the mower backwards.
4. Tighten locking nut (V, 1).
Change oil only
While engine is warm and fuel tank empty.
Change oil after the first 5 working hours. Thereafter change
engine oil every 25 working hours and at the end of the mowing
season. Change engine oil more frequently if working under
extreme and dusty conditions. To drain the engine oil, remove
oil filler cap, tilt machine slowly to side and allow oil to drain
from the crankcase through the filler.

Cleaning of Spark Plug
Check and clean regularly, reset plug gap as required (0,76 mm).
Cleaning of air filter
Refer to the engine manufacturer‘s handbook supplied.
Winter storage
• Drain fuel tank.
• Drain carburettor
- start engine, keep it running until it stops from fuel
Starvation
• Clean the whole machine thoroughly
• Change oil, 4-stroke engine.
• Prepare engine for winter storage as follows:
- Remove spark plug
- Poor one teaspoon full of engine oil into spark plug hole

Pull starter rope slowly to distribute oil evenly inside cylinder
- Replace spark plug but do not connect spark plug lead

Pull starter rope until resistance is felt (valves are now closed)
• Store mower in a cool and dry place.
We recommend: Have your mower thoroughly checked once
a year by approved Service Agent.
Disposal
Batteries contain Ni-Cd and must be disposed
of in the correct manner. Have defective
batteries disposed of by a specialist workshop.
Batteries must be removed from the unit
before scrapping (disposal).
Charging the battery (Power Edition 40 BAi)
The motor has a built-in charging unit. Therefore, the
battery is constantly recharged, as in an automobile.
Charging the battery manually (Power Edition 40 BAi)
• Only use the charger in dry rooms!
• Unplug cable connections only by pulling on the plug.
Pulling on the cable could damage cable as well as plug
and electrical safety could not be guaranteed.
• Never use the charger if cable, plug, or the device itself
have been damaged through external influence. Under
no circumstances should you open the charger. Bring the
charger to the nearest repair shop.
For charging - plug the charger in a 230-volt AC outlet and plug
the charger plug into the charge socket.
The charging time for a completely discharged battery is 20
hours.
Cleaning
Note: Disconnect electricity by unplugging cable
at the socket before proceeding. Attention: Keep
hands clear of moving blade.
Clean mower thoroughly after each mowing with cloth or
brush.
Clean the mulch flap at regular intervals with a small broom
(Power Edition 40 B/BA/BAi)
