Loading Tray 3
This is a high capacity paper tray used for media size A4 (8.5 x 11").
Detailed media specifications for your device are provided at www.xerox.com.
The trays automatically detect when the media they are loaded with is in low supply, or when they
are empty. A warning message is displayed on the touch screen when a tray needs loading.
Always use the information labels in the tray for guidance on loading orientations and maximum
fill information.
This is an optional high capacity paper tray. It is intended to be a primary feeder tray for the most
commonly used media. It is set as a dedicated tray and feeds only A4 (8.5 x 11”) LEF sized media.
Note: SEF is Short Edge Feed (where the short edge of the paper is the leading edge when the paper
is fed into the device). LEF is Long Edge Feed (where the paper is oriented so that the long edge is
fed into the device first).
The tray can feed a range of media weights and types.
• The tray holds up to 2000 sheets of 75 gsm (20 lb) paper.
• The media weight range is from 60 (16 lb) to 200 gsm (53 lb).
Note: For 80 gsm paper capacities are slightly lower than specified.
Note: Your device does not warn you if the wrong sized media is loaded.
It is important to select the correct Type for the media loaded in the tray. The device can detect
different types of media as each page travels through the paper path and will halt a job if a
mismatch occurs.
