The console has built in maintenance/diagnostic software. The software will allow you to
make changes to the console settings such as changing units from English to Metric or turn-
ing off the console beeps (if they are waking your family during your early morning workouts).
To enter the Maintenance Menu (may be called Engineering Mode, depending on version)
press and hold down the Start, Stop and Enter keys. Keep holding the keys down for about
ve seconds and the message window will display “Engineering Mode”. Press the Enter key
to access the menu below. Press the 5/6 keys to navigate the menu.
a. Key Test - Allows you to test all the keys to make sure they are functioning
b. Display Test - Tests all display functions
c. Functions - Press Enter to access settings, use 5/6 keys to navigate.
i. Sleep Mode - On; when turned on the console will darken after 30 minutes of no use.
When turned off the console will remain lit as long as the power is on
ii. Display Mode - Turn off to have the console power down automatically after 30 min-
utes of inactivity; leave on to display all lights while the power is on
iii. Pause mode – On; when turned off, pressing Stop once ends the program; when
turned on, the
console retains data for ve minutes before switching to the startup screen
iv. Odometer Reset - Reset the odometer
v. Units - Set to English or Metric display readings
vi. Motor Test - Continually runs the tensioning gear motor
d. Security - Allows you to lock the keypad so no unauthorized use is allowed. When the
child lock is enabled, the console will not allow the keypad to operate unless you press
and hold the Start and Enter keys for three seconds to unlock the console.
e. Factory Settings
To save and exit, press the Stop key
Error Messages
LS: The treadmill hasn’t received a speed signal for 8 seconds.
E1: Console memory malfunction or CPU problem.
E2: Incline position error.
