• When recording important selections, be sure to make a
preliminary test to ensure that the desired source material
is being properly recorded with good sound quality.
• The automatic recording level control circuit automatically
controls the level of the input signal used for recording.
• Adjusting the VOLUME control and using the built-in
sound field processor have no effect on the recorded
sound.
If, however, the built-in graphic equalizer is used, its effect
is recorded along with the source.
* Music with an equalizer effect is suitable for listening to
inside a car etc.
• For the tape deck, the deck which can be used for
recording is the DECK B only. When recording, be sure to
load a tape into the DECK B cassette compartment.
CD synchronized recording
1 Press the CD input selector button and load the disc to be
recorded.
2 Load a tape into the DECK B cassette compartment.
* Wind past the beginning part of the tape on which
recording cannot be performed.
3 When recording with the Dolby NR system, select the
Dolby NR B or C position by pressing the DOLBY NR
button. If not, set it off.
* For selection of the Dolby B or C position, refer to the
“Dolby B and C Type Noise Reduction” on page 23.
4 If desired, switch the reverse mode by pressing the
reverse MODE selector button.
When the tape is set so that side A faces you, recording will
be done as follows automatically according to the selected
reverse mode.
5 Press the REC/PAUSE button.
* The corresponding indicator will light up and the play
direction indicators flash.
6 Start CD playback by pressing the corresponding disc
select button, or by pressing the play/pause button if the
disc is already selected.
* Before CD playback begins, recording automatically
begins on the side of the tape now selected.
