The rubber mat is only allowed to be used for

tamping Torun gingerbreads, bricks, etc..

Other materials like split, grit, etc… must be

worked without the rubber mat.

When you don’t take care of the intended us-

age and at non-compliance of the instructions

in this manual you will lose all the compensa-

tion demands from the ZIPPER GmbH.

Changes and manipulations on the machine

also lead to the expire of the guarantee and

compensation demands.

2.3.2 Safety instructions

Always be focused when working,

take care to maintain a safe post-

ure at every time.

Do not use the compactor on a

slope steeper than 20°.

Do not work on slippery ground.

The operation of the machine on

icy or snowy ground is forbidden!

Slipping/ stumbling/ falling down

are a frequent cause of severe

injuries.

The machine shall be used only

by trained persons.

Non authorized persons, espe-

cially children, shall be kept away

from the work area.

Do not wear loose clothing, long

hair openly or loose jewellery like

necklaces etc. when operating the

machine.

They might be catched by rotating

parts and cause serious injuries

Burning hazard! During working

hot exhaust gases escape and

some parts like the engine are get-

ting very hot.

Use proper safety clothing and de-

vices when operating the machine

(safety gloves, safety goggles, ear

protectors, safety shoes …)!

2.3.3 Remaining risks

Plate compactors are heavy machines and

should be positioned by two persons. For this

you have to use the lifting handles of the ma-

chine. Also take care of the right lifting tech-

nique.

Squashing

Keep your hands and feet away from

moving parts, because they might get

under the plate compactor. Wear steel-

toed shoes for minimizing this danger.

You also have to take care that the ma-

chine and the operator have a good

stand. The machine mustn’t fall, slide or

keel over during operation.

Damage to health by vibrations

Longer operations lead to circulation dis-

order. So:

 Have breaks regularly.

 Wear safety gloves which decrease

the vibration intensity.

 The hardness of the working

ground, cold temperatures and

personal disposition decrease the

allowed operation time. Excessive

operation times may cause dam-

ages of the joints and the muscles.

Have breaks and restrain the op-

eration time corresponding your

sufficient lighting conditions.

Do not operate the machine when

you are tired, when your concen-

tration is impaired, and/or under

the influence of drugs, medication

or alcohol.

During refuelling open light, fire,

sparks or smoking is forbidden.

Don’t refuel when the engine’s

running or some components are

still hot.

Only refuel outdoors or in good

ventilated rooms.

Always wipe off spilt fuel imme-

diately.

Fuel is flammable easily!
