GENERAL INFORMATION
As with any other sport, cycling involves the risk of injury and damage. If you decide to ride a bike, you are also responsible for
the risks involved. You must therefore know and follow the rules on safety, responsible riding and proper use and maintenance.
Proper use and maintenance of your bicycle reduces the risk of injury.
This manual contains many warnings and notes regarding the consequences of not maintaining or checking your bike and of
not following the safety and road traffic rules. Many of the warnings and notes include the phrase: “You could lose control and
fall!” Since any fall can result in serious injury or even death, we do not repeat the warning of possible injury or death every
time.
Since it is impossible to foresee every situation or condition that may occur while riding, this manual does not attempt to
represent safe riding under all conditions. There are risks associated with the use of any bike that cannot be predicted or
avoided and are the sole responsibility of the rider.
