Improper handling of the battery and charger can result in an electric shock or explosion. This may
cause serious injury or even death.

- Never connect the positive terminal to the negative terminal of the battery.
- Protect the battery from direct sunlight.
- Do not dismantle the battery.
- Use only the charger included in the scope of supply to charge the battery.
- Use the charger only indoors.
- The plug of the charger is the disconnection device from the electrical mains. Ensure that the
plug socket is located near the charger and is easily accessible.
- Connect the charger only to a grounded 230 V mains plug socket.
- Keep the metal contacts clean; clean them with a soft and dry cloth, if necessary.
- Do not charge a battery with visible damage, e.g. a broken battery casing.

- Charge the battery in a temperature range between 10° and 30°C.
- Ensure that the charger is used only by persons who do not have limited physical, sensory or

Avoid fire or explosion hazards
Moisture, electrically conductive soiling or mechanical damage can cause a short circuit. This could
lead to a fire or explosion of the battery.
- Clean the electric motor and the controller only from the outside with a damp sponge. Never
use a high-pressure cleaner.
- If these components are accidentally completely immersed in water, disconnect the motor
from the battery immediately and do not use it again until it has been inspected by the man-
ufacturer.
