EN - Instruction on mounting and use
Closely follow the ins tructions set out in this manual. All responsibility,
for any eventu al inconvenienc es, damages or f ires caused by not complyin g
with the instruct ions in this man ual, is decli ned. The extract or hood has been
designed excl usively for domest ic use.
Caution
WARNING! Do not connect the appliance to the main s until the ins tallation is
fully comp lete. Before any cleaning or maintenanc e operation , disconnect
hood from the m ains by remo ving the plu g or discon necting the m ains
electrical su pply. Always wear work gloves for all installa tion and
maintenance oper ations. The a ppliance is not i ntended for us e by children or
persons with impa ired physica l, sensorial or mental faculties , or if lacking in
experien ce or kno wledge, unle ss they are un der superv ision or ha ve been
trained in the us e of the applian ce by a person resp onsible for thei r safety.
This applianc e is desig ned to be operated by adults, chi ldren should be
monitored to ensu re that they do not pla y with the applian ce.

Never use the h ood without effe ctively mount ed gratin g! The hood mus t
NEVER be used as a support surfac e unless specifically indicated. The
premises wher e the appli ance is instal led must be sufficiently ventilated,
when the kitch en hood is used together with other gas combusti on devices
or other fuels. The ducting sy stem for this appli ance must not be connected
to any existi ng ventilat ion system w hich is being used for an y other pur pose
such as disch arging exh aust fumes fr om appliances burning gas or other
fuels. The flaming of foods beneath the hood itself is sev erely prohibi ted.
The use of expose d flames is detriment al to the filt ers and may cause a f ire
risk, and must the refore be avoided i n all circumstance s.
Any fryin g must be do ne with ca re in order to make sure that the oil do es not
overheat and ignite. Accessi ble parts of the hoo d may became hot when
used with c ooking app licance.
With regards to the t echnical and saf ety measures to be ado pted for fume
discharging it is important t o closely follow the re gulations provi ded by the
local authorit ies.
The hood must be regularly cle aned on both th e inside and outsi de (AT
LEAST ONCE A MONTH).
This must be compl eted in accorda nce with the maint enance instructi ons
provided in th is manual). Failur e to follow the instructions provided in th is
user guide regardin g the cleaning of the h ood and filters will lead to the risk
of fires.
Do not use or leav e the hood wit hout the lamp c orrectly mount ed due to the
possible risk of electric shock s.
We will not accep t any respons ibility for any fau lts, damage or fir es caused
to the applianc e as a result of the non-obse rvance of th e instruction s
included in this man ual.
This applia nce is marke d according to the Europe an directiv e 2002/96 /EC on
Waste Electrical and Electroni c Equipment (W EEE). By en suring this product
is disposed of c orrectly, you will he lp prevent potentia l negative
consequences f or the en vironment a nd human h ealth, which could othe rwise
be caused by inap propriate waste h andling of thi s product.
The symbol
on the produc t, or on the do cument s accompa nying the
product, indi cates that this applia nce may not be treated as household
waste. Instead i t should be taken t o the appropriat e collection poi nt for the
recycling of electrical and elect ronic equipm ent. Disposal must be carried ou t
in accordanc e with local en vironmental r egulations for waste disposal.

Use
The hood is design ed to be used either for ex hausting
or filter ve rsion
.
Installation
The minimum dist ance between th e supporti ng surface fo r the cooki ng
equipment on the hob a nd the lowest part of t he range h ood must be not
less than 4 3cm from elec tric cookers and 65cm from gas or mixe d cookers .
If the instru ctions for inst allation for t he gas hob specify a great er distanc e,
this must be adh ered to. The m ains power su pply must co rrespond to t he
rating indicate d on the plat e situated insid e the hood. I f provided with a pl ug
connect the hood to a soc ket in complianc e with curre nt regulatio ns and
positioned in an accessibl e area, after inst allation. I f it not fitted wi th a plug
(direct mains connection ) or if the plu g is not lo cated in an ac cessible ar ea,
after installat ion, apply a doubl e pole switch in a ccordance with st andards
which assures th e complete di sconnectio n of the mains und er conditions
relating to ov er-curren t category III, in a ccordance with installation
instructions. Warn ing! Before re-con necting the hoo d circuit to t he mains
supply and checking the effici ent function , always chec k that the mains c able
is correctly assembl ed.
Operation
The hood is fitted wi th a control panel with aspiration spe ed selection cont rol
and a ligh t switch to co ntrol cooking area lights.
Use the high sucti on speed in cases of concentrat ed kitchen vapo urs. It is
recommended th at the cooker hood sucti on is switched on for 5 minut es
prior to cooki ng and to leave in o peration duri ng cooking an d for anothe r 15
minutes approximat ely after termin ating cookin g. Use the keys or button s
envisaged for th e control of the lights and the pow er of the avai lable suction.
Only in some models: swit ching on and off the fan that adjusts th e suction
power and , in some cases, s witching the lights on and o ff, is contro lled by
opening and closi ng the steam coll ector.
Maintenance
ATTENTION! Before performing any maintenanc e opera tion, isola te the
hood from the elect rical supply by swit ching off at the connector and
removing the co nnector f use. Or if th e appliance has been c onnected
through a plug and so cket, then the pl ug must be removed f rom the socket.
The cooker hood shou ld be clea ned regular ly (at least w ith the sa me
frequency with which you carr y out mainten ance of the fat filte rs) inte rnally
and externally. Cl ean using the clot h dampened wit h neutral liquid
detergent. Do not use abrasive products. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!
WARNING: Fail ure to carry out t he basic cleanin g recommendati ons of the
cooker hood and r eplacement of the filters may ca use fire risk s.

The manufact urer declines all respons ibility for any d amage to the mo tor or
any fire damag e linked to i nappropriate m aintena nce or failure t o observe
the above safety recommen dations.
Grease filter - Fig. 3-12
The grease filter must be cleaned once a month using non aggressive
detergents, eit her by han d or in the dishwasher, w hich must be set to a l ow
temperature and a short cycle. W hen washed i n a dishwas her, the greas e
filter may discol our slightly, but this does not af fect its f iltering capaci ty.

Type 150 - Washabl e activated cha rcoal filte r
The charcoal filter can b e washed on ce every tw o months using hot water
and a suitab le detergen t, or in a dish washer a t 65°C (if th e dishwash er is
used, select the f ull cycle functi on and leave dis hes out).
Eliminate excess wat er without dama ging the fil ter, then remove the
mattress located i nside the plast ic frame and put i t in the oven for 10 minutes
at 100° C to dry complet ely. Replace the matt ress every 3 years a nd when
the cloth is damage d.
Type 60/80 - NON-wash able activate d charcoal filter
The saturation of the charco al filter oc curs after m ore or less p rolonged u se,
depending on t he type of coo king and the regularity of cleaning of the grease
filter. In any ca se it is neces sary to replace t he cartridg e at least eve ry four
mounths. The charc oal filter may NOT be wash ed or regenerated.

Disconnect the ho od from the electri city.
Warning! Pr ior to touching the light bu lbs ensure th ey are c ooled down.
Extract the damage d light bulb and re place it wit h a new 9W-G23.
