• It is best to use Alpina accessories for an Alpina bike; ask an Alpina dealer. Parts that do not  t properly

could damage your bike and result in accidents.

• Make sure that when you  t accessories there is always some soft material between the accessory and the

part to protect it against damage. Deep scratches can lead to a part breaking.

2.2. TRANSPORTING THE BICYCLE BY CAR

• Always use an approved bicycle carrier; it prevents any damage to the bike during transport.

• Use a bicycle carrier with a fastener on the frame. It prevents damage and creates more stability during

transport than attaching your bike by the cranks.

• Before departing, always check whether any parts could come loose during the journey. When you arrive

at your destination check whether any parts came loose or sustained any damage.

• Make sure that the bicycle does not obscure the legally compulsory car lights.

2.3. MAINTENANCE

• Do not use a high-pressure cleaner or garden hose to clean your bicycle. The power of the water jet could

strip the grease and oil from the moving parts and water could get into your bike’s brakes.

• The bicycle must not be taken through a car wash.

• If you use any oil or grease, make sure that it does not get onto your brake discs or wheel rims if brake

blocks are used. This could impair the brakes or even stop them from working.

2.4. THEFT PREVENTION

Nearly all Alpina bikes are supplied with a safety lock. To prevent theft, we recommend that you always

lock your bicycle and keep the keys and spare keys somewhere safe. When you buy an Alpina bike, we

recommend you buy an additional lock to make sure you can lock the bike to a  xed object.

Every Alpina bike also has a unique frame number. This frame number appears on the purchase receipt

you received from the Alpina dealer. If the bike is stolen and you want to report the theft to the police,

you can give them the frame number. This is the unique reference number of the bike and it is also mar-

ked on a white sticker near the crank.

3. GUARANTEE CONDITIONS

On the basis of the following conditions, Alpina issues a guarantee against any construction, material and/

or paint defects:

3.1. GENERAL

3.1.1. The guarantee can be invoked only by the bicycle’s  rst owner.

3.1.2. The guarantee cannot be transferred to a different owner.

3.1.3. The guarantee issued under these conditions does not affect the right to challenge the vendor under the

ordinary statutory provisions of the Dutch Civil Code.

3.1.4. During the applicable guarantee period or periods, all parts for which Alpina established a manufacturing

and/or material defect will be repaired, replaced or reimbursed at Alpina’s discretion.
