pressin g OK to highlight ‘N etwor k ’ , t hen pres s OK again.
A message a ppears if no new rmwa re is ava ilable,
otherwise follow the on-screen instructions. A message
tells you when the u pgrade is comp lete. Pres s OK .

to review or delete BD-Liv e data stor ed on an external
USB drive.

< Erase data: Highlight and follow the on-screen
instruction to erase BD-Live storage data.
Security/Parental C ontr ol
Change Password – Sets or ch anges the 4-digit
passwor d. Press the 0–9 b utto ns fo r the current passwo rd
(the initial passwor d is 0000 ), then press OK .
Enter the new passwo rd to co nrm, then press OK .
Parental Control – P ar ental con trol settings can be
used to preven t the viewing of mat erial inappr opria te
for childr en. Acco rding to the level set, a disc ma y be
stop ped or have certain scenes cut or s ubstitu ted with
alternativ e scenes, depending on the disc.
T o set the parental contr ol level:

lower the value , the stricter the limitation.
1 Kid Safe: Suitab le for childr en.
2 G: All children and general a udience.
3 PG: Par ental guidance sugges ted.
4 PG-13: U nsuita ble for childr en under 13.
5 PG-R: Par ental guidance r ecommended.
6 R: Restricted; cinemas require c hildren under
the age of 17 to h ave an acco mpan ying adul t
paren t or guardia n.
7 NC-17: Cinemas do not admi t any one
young er than 17 years old .
8 Adult: Ad ult rating; di scs of any ra ting
(Ad ult/General/Children) can be played back.

< If the parental control level is set and you
try to play a disc with a level higher than the
current parental level, a password panel opens.
< If an attempt to change the parental control
or parental level is made, a password panel
opens.
