ARISTON DISHWASHER - Instructions for installation and use

ISHWASHER

You have loaded your dishes and you now have

to set the wash cycle. It takes just one minute

to learn how

Starting the dishwasher

Ready, steady, go!

Make sure the

wash cycle has

ended before

removing the

dishes!

Did you know that?

Your dishwasher is equipped with

sophisticated software allowing it

to express itself in 8 different lan-

guages, and using a sensor to as-

sess how dirty the dishes are to

optimise the "auto" wash cycles.

Keep an eye on the display, it's your

dishwasher's means of communi-

cations with you where it can send

you simple messages to inform you

as to what it's doing. It can even

request that you carry out a few

simple tasks, and it can signal any

oversights on your part.

First of all.

Turn on the water tap completely

and press ON-OFF button "A". the

display "B" comes on and the words

corresponding to the wash cycle to

which the knob is set scrolls along

it. If the knob is set to Reset, then

the word "Pause" scrolls along. In

both cases, your appliance is await-

ing instructions.

Selecting the wash cycle.

Turn knob "D" until the reference

notch on the knob corresponds with

the number or symbol for the cycle

you wish to set (have a look at the

wash cycle table on page 26). The

name of the wash cycle selected

scrolls along the display. Now press

the Start button "M" and, after a

few seconds, you will hear a short

beep: the wash cycle has begun and

the display indicates the cycle

phase under way. The counter "L"

will indicate the amount of time

left until the end of the wash cycle.

The dishwasher informs

you.

During operation, your dishwasher

tells you where it is at. In fact, the

following phases of the wash cycle

under way scroll along your display

screen: pre-wash, wash, rinses, dry-

ing.

But if you have chosen the wrong

cycle, not to worry! You can modify

the wash cycle in progress, if it has

only just started. Turn the knob un-

til it reaches the Reset position and,

after a few seconds, you will hear

4 beeps. The word "Pause" scrolls

along the display. This indicates

that all the settings have been can-

celled. You are now free to re-set

the correct wash cycle. Press

START to start the wash cycle.

You've left out a dish?

Well, it happens to everyone. Inter-

rupt the wash cycle by pressing the

ON-OFF button, the display comes

off. Insert the dish you had forgot-

ten and press the ON-OFF button

again. The display turns on and the

cycle will start up from where you

interrupted it.

Finished?

The end of the wash cycle is sig-

nalled by a double beep, and a flash-

ing "washing finished" comes up on

the display. Press the ON-OFF but-

ton as well, thus cutting off the elec-

tricity supply to the appliance.

Turn off the water tap.

Wait a few minutes before unload-

ing the dishes: they are very hot! If

you wait a little while, they dry

better thanks to the steam. Empty

the upper rack first.

There's been a power

failure? Have you

opened the dishwasher

door?

The wash cycle stops and then re-

starts when the electricity comes

back on or when you shut the door.

Everything is under control!

You want to wash on

one rack only? Remem-

ber to use half the

amount of detergent.

Your dishwasher also allows you to

wash half a load (choosing on

which rack), to save water and elec-

tricity. Before setting any wash

cycle whatsoever, press button "F".

Each time this button is pressed,

you will hear a beep, and symbol

(upper rack) and symbol

(lower rack) appear on indicator

"N". Press it once more to reset the

rack selection and the dishwasher

will consequently wash on both

racks.

How to eliminate the

drying phase

Should you wish to reduce the

length of the wash cycle and per-

fect drying is not your main prior-

ity, you can eliminate the drying

phase completely.

First of all, select the upper or lower

rack if you wish, as well as any

delayed start. Turn the knob to se-

lect the wash cycle: if the wash

cycle includes a drying phase, press

button "H" to eliminate the latter.

The name of the wash cycle scrolls

along the display screen, followed

by the words "no turbo dry". Press

the button once more to reinstate

the drying phase.

You decide when it

starts.

When you have loaded the dishes,

you can choose when to start your

dishwasher before setting the wash

cycle desired. Press button "E" and

you can delay the start of the wash

cycle by 1 to 24 hours. Each time

you press the button, the number

of hours will appear in sequence on

the counter: you choose when you

want the cycle to start.

Now indicator light "I" comes on

to indicate at all times that your

dishwasher is awaiting instructions.

On the counter, the countdown to

the delayed start has begun.

If opening the

door soon after

the end of the

programme, or

during it, stand

away from the

dishwasher, to

avoid possible

injury from hot

steam.
