4. CONNECTIONS
4.1 SIMPLE CONNECTION
- Connect the Hertzian antenna cable directly to the Antenna input of the video recorder.
- Connect the ANT IN input of the XENA to the Antenna OUT output of the video recorder.
- Connect the TO TV output of the XENA to the Antenna input of your television.
- Connect the TV Scart output of the XENA to the Scart input of your television.
- Connect the VCR Scart output of the XENA to the TV Scart input of the video recorder.
- Connect the satellite dish to the XENA through the IF INPUT.
- Plug the power cord into the 230-50Hz mains outlet.
Note : If your television set does not have a Scart input, or if you wish to connect a second television set to
the XENA, use the TO-TV output of the UHF modulator directly. This is set to Channel 38 by default. You
can modify this value in the AUDIO-VISUAL PARAMETERS menu (see 5.1)

INTERFACE CONTROL
If you own a conventional arm-positioner motor, you need to insert a DiSEqC 1.2 command interpreter
of the ASTON DS100 or DS200 type, in order to be able to use it with your XENA.
5. FIRST INSTALLATION
Before using your equipment for the first time, you will need to programme your receiver and then install it
fully . After switching your receiver on for the first time, if no installation has been carried out, it will open with the
main menu. Subsequently, it will open on the last channel you were watching.
We advise you to read the programming and installation procedures attentively and to follow them carefully.
5.1 GENERAL PARAMETERS
• Press the MENU button on the remote control to go to the MAIN MENU (if this is not already the
case)
• Select PROGRAMMING (Use the 5 and 6 keys then press OK to enter)
