4.5.6 Automatic rapid heat-up function

Available in menu level 2 on all cooking zones.

Function to quickly heat the cooking zone to the selected

power level.

When activated, the selected cooking zone heats up with

maximum power for a certain time and then switches to the

desired power level.

☞Press the slider at the position below the

symbol.

☞Choose the desired cooking zone.

☞Select the desired power level (e.g. power

level 5).

yThe “A” indicator and the selected power

level flash alternately.

yAfter the end of the rapid heat-up time,

the cooking level switches to the desired

power level.

yWith selection of a lower power level, the

automatic rapid heat-up is switched off.

yIf no power level is selected, the cooking

zone changes back to menu level 1 after

3 seconds.

4.5.7 Simmer function

Available in menu level 2 on all cooking zones.

Function for simmering food at three levels.

☞Press the slider at the position below the

symbol to select the simmering level.

yThe selected simmering level is displayed

on the 7-segment display.

yThe cooking zone is heated accordingly.

Medium level

Highest level

Off

4.5.8 Automatic pot recognition function

Available in menu level 3 on cooking zone 4 and if no

cooking zone is active (all power levels = 0).

Function for automatic recognition of cookware placed on a

cooking zone.

yUpon detection, the 7-segment display for the cooking

zone in use lights up.

yIt is possible to operate the selected cooking zone directly

via the slider.

yAs delivered, the function is activated.

☞Press the slider at the position below the

symbol.

yThe symbol illuminates dimly.

yAutomatic pot recognition is switched off.

To switch the function on again:

☞Press the slider again at the position below

the symbol.

yThe symbol illuminates brightly.

If the “bridge” function is in use, the cookware may not be

automatically detected (e.g. because the size is insufficient or

the material does not optimally conduct).

4.5.9 Beep function

Available in menu level 3 on cooking zone 4 and if no

cooking zone is active (all power levels = 0).

Function for setting the acoustic signal.

The acoustic signal can be set to the following

levels:

yLoud - symbol illuminates brightly.

yMedium - symbol illuminates brightly.

yQuiet - symbol illuminates brightly.

yOff - symbol illuminates dimly.

☞Press the slider repeatedly at the position

below the symbol until the desired signal

is set.
