5. Initial use

Take the device out of the plastic wrapping. Check the device for damage or faults. If you notice any damage or

faults on the device, do not use it and contact Customer Services or your supplier.

Positioning the device

Place the device on an even surface. The position should be chosen to ensure a distance of around 10 cm to

25 cm between the user and the device.

Battery use / Charging the battery

In order to use the daylight therapy lamp with the integrated battery, you must first of all charge it.

• To prevent possible damage to the daylight therapy lamp, it must only be charged with the mains part

included in delivery. The mains part must only be connected to the mains voltage that is specified on the

type plate.

• Insert the mains part into the mains part connection on the rear of the daylight therapy lamp.

•

Plug the other end of the mains part into a suitable socket. Fully charge the battery prior to initial use (ap-

prox. 2 hours). During charging, the "CHG" display on the daylight therapy lamp lights up green. When the

battery is fully charged, the "CHG" display goes out.

•

If you would like to use the daylight therapy lamp after charging, first of all disconnect the mains part

from the socket, and then from the daylight therapy lamp.

• With the battery completely charged, you can operate the daylight therapy lamp for over 2 x 30 minutes.

Note:

• Ensure that there is a mains socket close to the set-up area.

• Arrange the mains cable so that no-one will trip over it.

6. Operation

Remove the stand from the storage slot on the rear of the device.

Clip the short end of the stand into the side. The orientation of the TL55 changes depending on where

you attach the stand to the device. The stand can be attached on both the long and short sides, which

enables you to use the TL55 both horizontally and vertically.

3 Switching on the lamp

 To switch on the red light (light to fall asleep), press the ON/OFF button once.

 Press the ON/OFF button twice to switch on the brightlight.

Note:

The daylight therapy lamp has an automatic switch-off function. The brightlight/red light switches

off automatically after 30 minutes. During the 30 minutes, the red light automatically dims. In con-

trast, the brightlight illuminates to the same level of brightness for the 30 minutes.
