WIE IHR LUFTBEFEUCHTER
FUNKTIONIERT
Durch die auf der Rückseite befindlichen
Öffnungsschlitze strömt Luft ein, die in der
Feuchtigkeitskammer mit Dampf gemischt wird.
Die warme Feuchtigkeit gelangt dann durch die
Oberseite der Feuchtigkeitskammer durch die
Ausgangsschlitze in den Raum.
HINWEIS: Eine Luftfeuchtigkeit von weniger als
20% kann als unangenehm empfunden werden
und gesundheitsschädlich sein. Der empfohlene
Feuchtigkeitsgrad liegt zwischen 40% und 50%

Bei der Verwendung von Elektrogeräten sind
immer grundlegende Sicherheitsregeln zu
beachten, um Brände, Stromschlaggefahr und
Verletzungen zu vermeiden. Zu diesen Regeln
gehören die folgenden:
1. Vor Inbetriebnahme des Geräts die Anleitung
ganz durchlesen.
2. Um Brand- oder Stromschlaggefahr zu
vermeiden, das Gerät direkt an eine
elektrische Steckdose anschließen. Den
Stecker ganz einführen.
3. Das Kabel aus Bereichen mit starkem
Fußverkehr fernhalten. Das Kabel NIEMALS
unter einen Teppich oder in die Nähe von
Heizkörpern, Öfen oder Heizgeräten legen.
4. Stellen Sie den Luftbefeuchter NICHT in der
Nähe von Wärmequellen auf, wie Kocher,
Heizkörper oder andere Heizvorrichtungen.
Zum Erreichen optimaler Ergebnisse sollte der
Luftbefeuchter sich in einem Abstand von
mindestens 10 cm zur Wand befinden.
5. Den Luftbefeuchter NIEMALS für Kinder
zugänglich aufstellen. Das Gerät NIEMALS
in einem geschlossenen Raum verwenden,
sich ausruht oder spielt (in einem
geschlossenen Raum kann es zu
übermäßiger Feuchtigkeit kommen).
6. ACHTUNG: Den Luftbefeuchter erst
auffüllen, nachdem der Stecker aus der
Steckdose gezogen wurde. Wird dieser
Hinweis nicht beachtet, kann es zu
Verletzungen kommen. Immer am
Stecker ziehen und nicht am Kabel.

7. NIEMALS irgendwelche Gegenstände in
die Öffnungen stecken oder fallen lassen.

Luftbefeuchter in Betrieb ist. Die
Feuchtigkeitsöffnung NIEMALS abdecken
oder etwas darüber legen, wenn das Gerät
in Betrieb ist.
8. Das Gerät NICHT verwenden, wenn Kabel
oder Stecker beschädigt sind, das Gerät
Betriebsstörungen aufweist, es fallen gelassen
oder auf irgendeine andere Weise beschädigt
wurde. Geben Sie das Gerät an den Hersteller
zurück, damit dieser es prüfen und elektrische
bzw. mechanische Einstellungen oder
Reparaturen vornehmen kann.
9. Das Gerät darf nur für die in dieser Anleitung
genannten Haushaltszwecke verwendet
werden. Wenn das Gerät für andere Zwecke
verwendet wird, die nicht vom Hersteller
empfohlen werden, kann dies zu Feuer,
Elektroschock oder Verletzungen führen.
Die Verwendung von Zubehör, das nicht
vom Hersteller empfohlen oder vertrieben
wird, kann eine Gefährdung darstellen.
1. Clean your humidifier as instructed in the
section titled “Cleaning and Maintenance”.
2. Make sure all water is emptied from the tank
and cavity.
3. Dry your unit thoroughly.
4. Lave the tank cap off allowing the tank to be
exposed to air.
5. Store the power cord in the power cord
compartment.
6. Pack your humidifier in its original carton
and store in a cool, dry place.
SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any
electrical or mechanical functions on this
unit. Doing so will void the warranty. The
insides of the unit contain no user
serviceable parts. Only qualified personnel
should perform all servicing.
2. Should the unit stop working, first check the
fuse in the plug (UK only) or fuse/circuit
breaker at the distribution board is operating,
before contacting the manufacturer or
service agent.
3. If you need to exchange the unit, please
return it in its original carton, with a sales
receipt, to the store where you purchased it.
4. Should your humidifier require service,
please contact your local dealer.
Please note that this is an electrical
appliance, and requires attention when
in use.

If the plug is not suitable for the socket outlets in
your home, it can be removed and replaced by
a plug of the correct type. Please refer to
"Installation of a plug" below.

marked or if you are unsure or in doubt about
the installation of the plug please contact a
qualified electrician.
The wires in the mains lead are coloured as
such:
GREEN AND YELLOW - EARTH
BROWN - LIVE
BLUE - NEUTRAL
Please note that the colour of these mains wires
may not correspond with the colour markings
that identify the terminals in your plug. Please
proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured GREEN AND
YELLOW must be connected to the terminal
which is marked with the letter 'E' or by the
earth symbol or coloured GREEN or
GREEN AND YELLOW.
The BROWN coloured wire must be connected
to the terminal, which is marked with the letter
"L" or is coloured RED.
The BLUE coloured wire must be connected to
the terminal, which is marked with the letter "N"
or is coloured BLACK.
If a 13A 3-pin plug is fitted, it must be an
approved plug, conforming to BS1363 standard.
Replacement fuses must be BSI approved.

has the right to change these terms.
• Holmes undertakes within the guarantee period
to repair or replace the appliance, or any part
of appliance found to be not working properly
free of charge provided that
• you promptly notify the place of purchase
or Holmes of the problem; and
• the appliance has not been altered in any way
or subjected to damage, misuse, abuse,
repair or alteration by a person other than a
person authorised by Holmes.
• Faults that occur through, improper use,
damage, abuse, use with incorrect voltage,
acts of nature, events beyond the control of
Holmes, repair or alteration by a person other
than a person authorised by Holmes or
failure to follow instructions for use are not
covered by this guarantee. Additionally,
normal wear and tear, including, but not
