12 Childproof lock

Secure your appliance to prevent children from acci-

dentally switching on the main oven or changing the

settings.

Notes

¡You can go to the basic settings →Page17 to

specify whether you want the option to set the child-

proof lock.

¡After a power cut, the childproof lock is deactivated.

12.1 Activating and deactivating the

childproof lock

Requirement:The function selector must be set to the

"Off" position ⁠.

▶To activate the childproof lock, press and hold the

button until appears in the display.

‒To deactivate the childproof lock, press and hold

the button until goes out in the display.

13 Basic settings

You can configure the appliance to meet your needs.

13.1 Overview of the basic settings

Here you can find an overview of the basic settings and factory settings. The basic settings depend on the features

of your appliance.

Display Basic setting Selection

Time display = hide the time

= display the time1

Signal duration upon completion of a cook-

ing time or timer period

= 10 seconds

= 30 seconds1

= 2 minutes

⁠ ⁠ Button tone when pressing a button = off

= on1

Cooling fan run-on time = short

= medium

= long1

= extra long

Waiting time until a setting is applied = 3 seconds1

= 6 seconds

= 10 seconds

⁠ ⁠ Childproof lock can be adjusted = no

Water hardness2 = softened

= soft (up to 1.5mmol/l)

= medium (1.5–2.5mmol/l)

= hard (2.5–3.8mmol/l)

= very hard (above 3.8mmol/l)1

13.2 Changing basic settings

Requirement:The appliance is switched off.

1. Press and hold the button for approximately

fourseconds.

aThe first basic setting appears in the display,

e.g. ⁠ ⁠ ⁠.

2. Use the or button to change the setting.

3. Use the button to switch to the next basic setting.

4. To save the changes, press and hold the button

for approx. fourseconds.

Note:Following a power failure, the factory basic set-

tings are restored.

13.3 Discarding changes to the basic

settings

▶Turn the function selector.

aAll changes are discarded and not saved.
