If an extr acto r fan is ins tal led , you must fo llo w t he ins ta llat io n
manual 's instructions, always keepin g a mi ni mum distance of
650 mm to the hob .
Preparation of the kit chen uni t (fi g. 1-2 )
Make an ap p ropriate siz e cut in the worktop surface, depending
on the installation meth od . standard (a) or flush ( b). For flush
ins ta llat i on:
■ A l l cu ts in the workt op sur face shoul d be done by a
sp eci a li s ed sh o p .
■ The cu ts shoul d be clean and precise, as t h e cut edge i s on
the surface. T h e stability of the f urni ture should also b e
ensured aft er cut ting work.
■ Use only specia l ly d esigned work sur faces, resistan t to high-
temperature an d water (e.g. natural stone or tiled).
■ Su r rounding furni t ure must be resistant to t emperatures up to
90 °C.
If the hob is elect ric or mixed (g as and elect r icity) and there is
no oven b el ow, place a non -fl ammable separator (e.g. metal or
plyw ood ) 1 0 mm from the b ottom of the ho b. T his wi ll prev ent
acc ess to the b ase of the ho b.If th e hob is g as, it is
recommendable to place th e sep ar ator at the same distance.
On wood work surfaces, varnish the cutting surfaces with a
special glue. T his protects them f rom moisture which could
collect under the w or k surface.
Installa tion of a ppliance
A) Standard in stalla tion (fig . 3a)

f i tte d. If this is the case, it sh ould no t b e remov ed u nder a ny
cir cumsta nces, si nce the adhe si ve seal p revent s leaks. If the
seal has not been factory-fitted, apply it to the u nd erside of the
hob .
Fit ting the appli ance o nto t he ki tch en uni t:
1. Rem ove th e clips fr om the accesso ry bag and screw t hem in to
the pos i tio n indi cate d so th at t hey c an tu r n freel y.
2. Ins ert and centr e the hob.

B) Fl ush in stall ati on (fig . 3b)
1. Com plete a n ormal insta llati on of the applian ce m akin g su re
that it is surro unded by a uniform slot. The hob surface should
be sli ghtly below th e work surface.
For tile worktops, i f necessary, raise the bearing surfaces with
stri ps re sistan t to w ater and temper atu res.
2. Check the operat i on and p os ition of appliance.
3. Fill the gap b etween t h e worktop and hob with conventional
silicone adhesive appropriate in the colour you desire.
Note: I f unsui t able silicone adhes i ve is used on na t ural st one
surfaces then this can produ ce colours that can not be
remove d . Our T echnic al Assistance Se r vice can provi de you
with the most suitable glue (code 310818). Please note the
m anu f a c tu r e r s i ns t r u ct i o ns f o r us e.
4. Smoo th the silicone adh esive wi th a scr aper or wet finger
moistened wit h soap and wat er before it forms a layer.
5. Allo w the sili cone ad hesive to dry bef ore usin g the applia nce.
Remov al of hob
Turn off t he appliance's electricity and g as suppl y.
Unscrew the clips an d pr oceed i n the reverse order to
ins tal lat ion.
Gas connection ( fig. 4 )
The end of the inlet connect i on point of the g as hob has a 1/2”
(20.955 mm) thread that allows f or :
■ fixed connection .
■ conne ct ion us i ng a flexi ble metal p i pe (L m in. 1 m -
max . 3 m) .
The watertight seal (034308) supplied must be inserted
be twee n the man ifold outl et and the gas suppl y.
You m ust prevent the pipe from coming into contact wi t h
moving part s of the kitchen un it (for example, a d rawer) and
prevent ac cess to any spaces which m i ght become ob st ructed.
Do not mo ve t he L -tub e from the factory-fitted position,
regardless of the connection type.
If you n eed to make a cyl i ndrical c onnection, replace t h e factory-
fitted L-tube with the one i n th e accessory bag. Fig . 4a.
