Outside guarantee
If your Freestyle 320 Plus is more than 12
months old, you will need to telephone one of
the following numbers between 9am and 4.30pm,
Monday to Friday, 01737 789300 or 01672
564 444 to arrange for it to be repaired.
This is a chargeable service. Alternatively you
can take your Freestyle 320 Plus to your
nearest BT shop. They will send it for repair
(there will be a postage charge for this).
Please note that the repair of your product
outside guarantee is a chargeable service.
Some suppliers offer extended warranty
schemes for cover outside the initial 12-month
period. Please ask them for details.
Protecting your Freestyle 320 Plus
Most electrical appliances are affected by the
electrical activity of thunderstorms. Cordless
phones are particularly susceptible to damage. To
protect your Freestyle 320 Plus, it is advisable to
unplug it from the mains and phone socket
during thunderstorms.

Battery charging contacts
Check that the charging contacts on the base
unit and the handset are kept clean. If they
become tarnished or dirty, your Freestyle 320
Plus may not recharge efficiently. Clean the
contacts by wiping them with a dry cloth.
Extended periods of non-use
If you are not going to use your Freestyle 320
Plus for a long period of time (for example if you
are going on holiday), we recommend that you:
• disconnect the base unit from both mains
supply and phone line;
• disconnect and remove the back-up battery
from the base unit;
• recharge the handset batteries for 24 hours
when reconnecting.

Battery saving tips
To extend the life of your handset batteries, it is a
good idea to take the handset off the base for
around two hours every day or let the handset run
down completely once every six months.
Cleaning
Simply clean the handset and base unit with
a damp cloth or an antistatic wipe. Avoid using
household sprays and cleansers as they can
damage your Freestyle 320 Plus.
