When the barbecue is tilted about 45 degrees, firmly
pull the handle towards you while keeping the feet of
the barbecue on the ground (Fig. 13 - step 2).
When the "b" hooks protrude beyond the support "a"
axes, place the vessel by inserting the hooks on the
axes (Fig. 13 - step 3).
Grease collection tray
Once you have unfolded the barbecue, install the
grease collection tray under the grill (Fig. 12).
Sliding side shelf
Once you have unfolded the barbecue, pull the sliding
shelf in order to put it into place.
Electronic ignition (Fig. 14) (model 2 Compact EX
series)
The automatic ignition system is powered by one
battery, type "LR03/AAA" 1.5V (battery included).
Alkaline batteries provide the longest life span.
Placing the battery:
Unscrew the cover of the battery
box on the left, below the control console. Insert a new
battery into the cover with the + sign facing downward
and put the cover back on.
Console ignition (Fig. 15) (model 2 Compact EX
series)
The automatic ignition system is powered by one
battery, type "LR03/AAA" 1.5V (batteries included).
Alkaline batteries provide the longest life span.
The first time you use your barbecue
: Unscrew the box
cover located to the right of the control console and
remove the battery box. Remove the protective tape
on the end of the batteries (Fig. 16).
Placing the batteries
: Unscrew the cover of the battery
box located on the right hand side of the control
console. Insert 3 new batteries in the battery case
correctly with respect to their polarity, then replace the
battery case in its place in the slot.
Using the console ignition (Fig. 18)
To start the ignition of the console, press the button
located to the right of the console.
To turn it off, press the same button a second time.
d) GAS CYLINDER
This barbecue has been adjusted to be operate off
4,5 to 15 kg butane/propane cylinders with an
appropriate low pressure regulator.
In South Africa (butane 2.8 kPa), use 9 kg butane
cylinders with an appropriate low pressure 2.8 kPa
regulator. Use the platform and hook at the bottom of
trolley to hang your cylinder.
- France, Belgium, Luxembourg, United Kingdom,
Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece : butane 28-30
mbar / propane 37 mbar.
- Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary,
Slovenia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland,
Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Croatia:
butane 30 mbar / propane 30 mbar.
- Germany, Austria: butane 50 mbar / propane 50
mbar.
- Poland: propane 37 mbar.
Always connect or replace the cylinder in a well-
ventilated area, never in the presence of a flame, spark
or heat source.
The height H of the bottle must be less than 70 cm
regardless of the bottle's width or diameter D.
Place the cylinder to the right of the product to
ensure proper unwinding of the tube and to avoid
jamming it when folded.
e) HOSE
France
- The unit must be used with a flexible hose that meets
the XPD-36-110 standards: a flexible hose that is to be
fitted on rounded end-pieces on the side of the unit and
the regulator, immobilized with clamps. Recommended
length 1.25 m.
- Hose length should not exceed 1.25 meters and
should be changed whenever it is damaged or
cracked. Do not pull or pierce the hose. Keep away
from any parts of the barbecue that get hot.
- slide the flexible hose onto the ringed tailpiece on both
the barbecue and regulator as far as it will go.
- slide the collars behind the two first bosses on the
tailpieces and tighten them until the tightening head
breaks.
- Check for leaks following the instructions in paragraph
g).

Portugal, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Netherlands,
Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia,
Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Bulgaria,
Turkey, Romania, Poland, Switzerland:
The barbecue is equipped with a circular connector. It
should be used with flexible hose (hose supplied
according to country) that is suitable for use with butane
and propane gas. Hose length should not exceed 1.20
metre. It should be replaced if it is damaged or cracked,
when required by national regulations or at the end of the
part lifecycle. Do not pull or pierce the hose.
