While scanning you will hear short beeps which indicate that measurement is taking place.

3. The measurement is complete only after 4 beeps have sounded. At this point you can read the

temperature on the display. The temperature appears now on the display.

4. The thermometer switches automatically off 1 minute after measurement has been complet-

ed. To switch off the guiding blue ray, rotate the ring (if the thermometer ”objective” is not

closed completely, the ray remains active, causing the batteries that power it to become rapidly

exhausted).

IMPORTANT: Any distance from 0.5 cm up to 10 cm, with the thermometer correctly positioned,

provides correct measurements.

IMPORTANT: For repeated measurements always use the same measuring area and side of the

forehead.

Memory function

The memory function saves 8 measurements for 64 hour after each measurement.

The last reading before the thermometer switches automatically off, is saved in the memory. To

use the memory function, turn the ring (FIGURE 2) and press and release the Memory button on

the front side of the thermometer (FIGURE 1) while the thermometer is on. The LCD display alter-

nately displays the following information four times:

• Previous measurement.

• How many hours before the measurement was taken (NOTE: only whole hours are indicated,

until the rst full hour has elapsed, the value appearing on the display is 0).

Pressing and releasing again the Memory button, the measurement prior to the last is displayed.

You can read all your saved readings by continuously pressing the memory button.

To cancel all saved measurements, press the Memory button while turning the ring anticlockwise;

in this way the thermometer is switched off and all data will be cancelled.

DEGREES CELSIUS (°C) / DEGREES FAHRENHEIT (°F) SWITCH

To change the measurement unit from degrees Celsius to Fahrenheit, press the Memory button

while the thermometer is switched off.

The display shows °C or °F, according to the selected mode, for 5 seconds. To switch from °C to °F

and vice versa, press again the Memory button while the display is on.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

The forehead infrared Thermo-Precision thermometer is supplied with a 3V lithium battery, al-

ready installed. Battery shelf life is ﬁve years. Battery’s working life is approximately 12000 meas-

urements.

Besides, the thermometer contains two 1.5V AAA batteries powering the blue ray.
