Your DEWALT Medium Duty Demolition Hammer has

been designed for professional chipping, chiselling

and demolition applications.

Soft start feature

The soft start feature allows the speed to build up

more slowly, thus preventing the chisel or point from

“bouncing” around on the masonry when starting up.

Electronic impact control (fig. B)

The electronic impact control (2) offers the following

advantages:

- use of smaller accessories without risk of breakage

- chiselling light and brittle materials without

shattering

- optimal tool control for precise chiselling

Service and power-ON indicator LEDs (fig. B)

The red service indicator LED (4) lights up when the

carbon brushes are nearly worn out to indicate that

the tool needs servicing. After approx. 8 hours of

use the motor will automatically be shut off. The

carbon brushes are not user-serviceable. Take the

tool to an authorized DEWALT repair agent.

The green power-ON indicator LED (3) lights up

when the tool is switched ON. If the indicator LED is

lit but the tool does not start, the electrical motor

may be defective. If the indicator LED does not light

up and the tool does not start, the ON/OFF-switch

or the mains cord may be defective.

Electrical safety

The electric motor has been designed for one

voltage only. Always check that the power supply

corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.

Your DEWALT tool is double insulated in

accordance with EN 50144; therefore no

earth wire is required.

Mains plug replacement (U.K. & Ireland

only)

• Should your mains plug need replacing and you

are competent to do this, proceed as instructed

below. If you are in doubt, contact an authorized

DEWALT repair agent or a qualified electrician.

• Disconnect the plug from the supply.

• Cut off the plug and dispose of it safely; a plug

with bared copper conductors is dangerous if

engaged in a live socket outlet.

• Only fit 13 Amperes BS1363A approved plugs

fitted with the correctly rated fuse (1).
