Before Usin
z Connect to a PC and download audio files
This player is plug & play for WIN2000 or above OS. But for W indows98/SE, you are required t o install a
driver before connection.
(1) Plug the larger end of the USB cable to th e USB port of the PC, and pl ug the smaller end to the
USB port of the player.
(2) When the “
” icon appear at the right bott om of the PC screen, double click “My Computer” on
the desktop, you see two rem ovable disks that indicate t he player . Just use the removable disk as
regular local disk, copying files from or to it.
z Removing the player from the PC safely
Please remove the device fro m the computer in a safe wa y in order to avoid data loss.
For Windows2000/XP:
(1) Left click the
icon at the right hand corn er of the taskbar .
(2) Click the pop-up mini-window with messa ge of “S top the USB Mass Storage Device – Drive (X)”.
(3) When you are prompted to remo ve the device, pull out t he player .
For Win98, please make sure the data transfer is completed before u nplugging the player.
z Charge the battery
The device has a bui lt-in lithium-icon rechargeable batt ery . It is charged via USB connection. Y ou are
required to charge it when you use it for the first time. It takes about 3 hours to fully charge the b attery .
T o charge the battery , connect the larger end of the USB cable to the USB interface of PC, and connect
the other smaller end of the U SB cable to the USB interf ace of this player. The device is connecte d to
PC and being charged. If you want to know the charge progress, disconnect the device safely by clicki ng
the “
” icon. Y o u see an animating battery icon indi cating charge progress. W hen the icon becomes
green, the battery is full y charged.
Please charge the batter y immediately when the displ ay indicates low batter y , or the device will be
powered off automatically .
Note:
For maximum performance, lithium- ion batteries need to be used often. If you don’t use the device
often, be sure to recharge the battery at le ast once per month.
z Using memory card
The device comes with a memor y card slot for reading data from a micro-SD c ard.
T o use a mem ory card,
(1) Insert a Micro-SD card to the card slot on the unit body .
(2) In the folder navigation mode, repeatedly press the “M” button until you see two folders named
“Internal Memory” and “Memor y card”. T o pla y the audio/video files stored on the m emory card,
open the “Memory Card” fold er .
Note:
The device does not guarantee c ompatibility with all memory cards fro m various manufacturers.

T o pow er on the device, push the ON/OF F button up and hold for a while until you see the boot-up
screen.
T o pow er off the device, push the ON/OFF button up and hold for a while un til you see the power-off
screen.
Note:
This player has a power-saving fea ture which enables the device to power off automatically if it is
idle for about 3 minutes.

Adjust V olume T ap the / button to increase or decre ase the volume.

T ap and hold the “ ” b utton to display the ID3 infor mation and lyric
alternatively .

(1) During playing, tap the “
” button to select the start point.
(2) T ap the “
” button again to select the end point.
(3) T ap the “
” button to stop the section rep eat.
(4) T ap the “M ” button to return to the file explorer mode. Y ou should see the list of music folders and
tracks in the current directory . T ap the
/ button to select a folder or track, and tap the
button to confirm selection or tap the “M” button to return to the pre vious hierarchy of director y .

(1) T ap and hold the “M” button to display the main me nu.

/ button to select “E-book” and tap the button to confirm.
(3) T ap the
/ button to select a text file, and tap the button to open the sel ected e-book.
(4) When you are reading the e- book, you can:
• T ap the
/ button to read by rows.
• T ap the
/ button to page up or down.
• T ap the
button to start or stop the slide sho w . In the slide show mode, the e-book pages up
or down automatically (b y setting the time inter val in Settings/Auto Slide show/T e xt Browse). If you
want to page up or down manually , tap the
button to stop the slide sh ow .
• T ap the
button to tag a bookmark on the current page for reading later . The “Save Bookmark”
window should appear. T ap
/ to select a location for saving the bookmark, and press the
button to confirm or press th e “M” button to cancel.
• T ap the
button to display the “Load Book mark” window . T ap / to select a bookmark and
press the
button to confirm. Y ou will then be guided to the page that you marked.
(5) T ap the “ M” button to stop reading and r eturn to the file explore r mode.
Note:
Some TXT file may not be read. This may caused by it s unsupported format. Skip it or reload
another text file.
