Before ﬁ rst use

• Unpack the product and remove any protective foils and

stickers. Check that the product contents are complete and

that they do not exhibit any transport damages. Should you

identify any transport damages, please promptly consult cus-

tomer service.

• Insert batteries (see sectionn “Inserting/changing batteries”)

• Before ﬁ rst use, test the product to make sure that it is func-

tioning properly: To do so, move the ON/OFF switch to the

ON position. Place the motion detector in a dark room and

test it by e.g. waving your hand in front of the motion sensor. If

the LEDs do not illuminate, check whether the batteries have

been inserted correctly or insert a new set of batteries. If the

motion detector responds to your movement, you can mount

the product as described in the “Mounting” section.

Inserting/changing batteries

1. Use a cross-slot screwdriver to unscrew the battery compart-

ment and take the battery compartment cover off.

2. Take out all the used batteries.

3. Insert 4 new type AA 1.5 volt batteries. When you insert the

batteries, make sure the polarity is correct (+/-).

4. Place the battery compartment cover on the battery compart-

ment and screw it into place.

Mounting

ATTENTION!

❐ The motion detector only works in dark environments.

For this reason, only set up the motion detector in low-

light areas!

An adhesive strip for mounting the motion detector is included

in the product contents. Proceed as follows to mount the motion

detector.

1. Select a suitable location where you would like to mount the

motion detector. Make sure that the bottom is clean and dry

to ensure that the adhesive strip is able to stick to it properly.

2. Remove the protective ﬁ lm from one side of the adhesive

strip.

3. Afﬁ x the strip to the bottom of the rotatable base of the motion

detector.

4. Remove the second protective ﬁ lm of the adhesive strip.

5. Mount the LED motion detector on a clean, dry surface by

placing it on the surface and pressing it ﬁ rmly for approximately

30 seconds.

NOTE: You can also mount the product with screws or nails.

Slots for hanging the product on screws or nails are located on

the bottom of the rotatable base. However, no fastening mate-

rial such as screws or nails is included in the product contents.

Inquire at a specialised dealer as to which fastening material is

suitable for hanging up the product.

Start-up

1. Turn the product on by moving the ON/Off switch on the back

of the product to the ON position.

2. Then align the motion detector:

– The base of the motion detector can be rotated 360°. Turn

it to the desired position.

– The LED light can be tilted. Move it to the desired position.

3. The LED lights will illuminate as soon as it is dark enough and

the motion detector recognizes movement.

Cleaning and storage

ATTENTION! Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning

products or cleaning pads for cleaning the product.

• If necessary, clean the product with a damp cloth and wipe it

off with a dry dust cloth.

• If you do not intend to use the product for a prolonged period

of time, turn it off by moving the ON/OFF switch to the OFF

position and store it in a clean and dry place that is not

accessible for children and animals.

Disposal

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the

packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner and

make it available to the collection service for recyclable

materials.

Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly

manner. The product does not belong in the household

garbage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old

electric and electronic equipment. For more information,

please contact the administration in your community.

Batteries must be removed and disposed of separately

before disposing of the product. To protect the

environment, batteries may not be disposed of together

with normal household waste. Instead they must be

turned in at collection points. Please also observe

applicable statutory provisions regulating the disposal

of batteries.
