EN - Instruction on mounting and use
Closely follow the inst ructions set out in this manual. All responsib ility,
for any e ventual incon veniences, da mages or fir es caused b y not comply ing
with the instruct ions in this man ual, is declined. The extractor hood has been
designed excl usively for domesti c use.
Note: the elem ents marked wi th the symbol “(*)” are opti onal accessori es
supplied only wit h some models or element s to purchase, not supplied.
Caution
WARNING! Do not connect the appliance to the main s until the installa tion is
fully complete .
Before any cleanin g or maintenance ope ration, disconnect hood from the
mains by removin g the plug or disc onnecting the mains ele ctrical supply.
Always wear work glov es for all install ation and maintenanc e operations.
The appliance is n ot intended for u se by children or p ersons with impaire d
physical, se nsorial or menta l faculties, or if lac king in experienc e or
knowledge, u nless they are under supervi sion or have been trained in the
use of the applian ce by a person re sponsible for th eir safety.
This applianc e is design ed to be operat ed by adult s, children sh ould be
monitored to ensu re that they do not pla y with the appliance.

allowed to tampe r with the controls or play with the a ppliance.
Never use the hood wit hout effectivel y mounted grating!
The hood must NEVER be used as a suppo rt surface unless specifically
indicated.
The premises w here the applian ce is installed must be suffi ciently ventil ated,
when the kitch en hood is us ed together wi th other ga s combustion de vices
or other fuels.
The ducting syst em for this appli ance must not b e connected to any existing
ventilation sy stem which is being us ed for any other purp ose such as
discharging exh aust fumes from appli ances burning gas o r other fuels.
The flaming of foods b eneath the hood it self is severel y prohibited.
The use of expose d flames is detrimental to the filters and ma y cause a fire
risk, and must the refore be avoided in all circumstances.
Any fryin g must be don e with care in or der to make s ure that the o il does not
overheat and igni te. Accessi ble parts of the h ood may became hot wh en
used with cookin g appliance. Wi th regards to the t echnical and safet y
measures to be ado pted for fume disch arging it is import ant to closely fol low
the regulation s provided by the local authorities.
The hood must be reg ularly clean ed on both the insi de and outside (A T
LEAST ONCE A MONTH). This must be completed in ac cordance with the
maintenance ins tructions provided in this manual). Failu re to follow the
instructio ns provided in this user guide re garding the cle aning of the hood
and filters will lead to the risk of fires. Do not use or leave the ho od without
the lamp correctly mo unted due to the pos sible risk of el ectric shocks.
We will not accep t any responsibility for any faults, da mage or fires caused
to the applianc e as a result of the non-obser vance of the instr uctions
included in this man ual.
This applia nce is marked ac cording to the E uropean dir ective 2002/96 /EC on
Waste Electrical and Electronic E quipment (WE EE). By ensuri ng this product
is disposed of c orrectly, you will help prevent potential negativ e
consequences f or the env ironment and human heal th, which could otherwise
be caused by inap propriate waste handl ing of this prod uct.
The symbol
on the produc t, or on the doc uments acc ompanyin g the
product, indi cates that this applia nce may not be treated as hous ehold
waste. Instead i t should be taken to t he appropriate coll ection point for t he
recycling of electrical an d electroni c equipment. Di sposal must be carried out
in accordanc e with local enviro nmental regulatio ns for waste dispo sal.

Installation
The minimum distan ce between th e supporting su rface for the c ooking
equipment on the hob a nd the lowest part of the ra nge hood must be not
less than 5 0cm from electr ic cookers an d 65cm from gas or mixed cooker s.
If the instru ctions for inst allation for th e gas hob specif y a greater dist ance,
this must be ad hered to.
The mains power suppl y must correspon d to the rating indi cated on the plate
situated insid e the hood. I f provided wit h a plug con nect the hood t o a socket
in compliance with cu rrent regulatio ns and positioned i n an accessible area,
after installa tion. If it not fitted with a plug (direct mains con nection) or if the
plug is not lo cated in an acc essible area, af ter instal lation, apply a double
pole switch in accord ance with standar ds which assures t he complete
disconnection of the mains unde r conditions relat ing to over-c urrent categor y
III, in accor dance with installa tion instructions .
Warning! Before re-connecting th e hood circuit to t he mains supply and
checking the eff icient function, always check that t he mains cable is corre ctly
assembled.
Operation
The hood is fitted wi th a control panel wi th aspiration speed sel ection control
and a ligh t switch to con trol cooking area lights.
Use the high sucti on speed in cases of concentrated kit chen vapours. I t is
recommended th at the cooker ho od suction is switched on for 5 minutes
prior to cookin g and to leave in o peration durin g cooking and f or another 15
minutes approxim ately after termin ating cooking.
Maintenance
ATTENTION! Before performing any maintenance operation, isolate the
hood from the elect rical supply by switchi ng off at the conne ctor and
removing the conne ctor fuse.
Or if the appl iance has been connected thr ough a plug an d socket, the n the
plug must be remov ed from the socket.
The cooker hood should b e cleaned regu larly (at leas t with the same
frequency with which you carry out maintenance of the fat filters) internally
and externally. Cl ean using the cloth dam pened with neut ral liquid
detergent. Do not use abrasive pro ducts. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!
WARNING: Failu re to carry out the basi c cleaning rec ommendations of the
cooker hood and r eplacement of t he filters may cause f ire risks.
Therefor e, we recommend o bserving thes e instruction s.
The manufactur er declines all r esponsibility for any damage to the motor or
any fire damage l inked to inap propriate mai ntenance or f ailure to obse rve
the above safety recommenda tions.
Grease filter

The grease filter must be cleaned once a month using non ag gressive
detergents, ei ther by han d or in the dis hwasher, which m ust be set t o a low
temperature and a short cycle. Wh en washed in a dishwasher, t he grease
filter may discol our slightly, but this does not affect its filteri ng capacity.
Charcoal filter (filter version only)

The saturation of the charcoal filt er occurs after more or less prolong ed
use, dependi ng on the type of cooking and the regularity of cleaning of the
grease fil ter. In any case it is necessary to re place the cartri dge at least
every four mount hs. The charc oal filter may NOT be w ashed or
regenera ted.
Replacing lamps

Disconnect the ho od from the electricit y.
Warning! Pr ior to touching th e light bulb s ensure they are cooled do wn.
Replace with a new 12 Vol t, 20 Watt (Maximum) hal ogen light made for a G-
4 base SUITABLE FOR USE IN OPEN LUMINAIRES. Follow package
directions and d o not touch new light wit h bare hands.
