result in a f at re . Fat r es can be pre vented with diligence in cleaning f ats and
oil from the hea t shield and bowl around the electrical elemen t and the inner
chassis. Do not allow ash t o build up inside the chassis – clean up after ev ery use. For

throughout the char coal chamber . Overloading the char coal chamber can result in
damage to the appliance and f ood – it is recommended that the height o f the charcoal
never passes the t op level of the char coal chamber . F or more inf ormation on charcoal
placement, see further on in the instruc tion manual and the Quick User Guide.
24. The ignition timer is set to 7 minut es. Whilst this in oper ation, the element will run,
heating and igniting the char coal above it. Once the timer has nished, do not start

charcoal ashing. Note: If the combined hea t from the char coal and element get too
high, an ov er-t emp switch will disable the elemen t (the timer will continue to opera te
until the 7 minutes ha ve elapsed).
25. Always allo w the solid fuel to burn out naturally a fter cooking. Do no t use any liquids
to douse the char coal whilst inside the barbeque. Do not mo ve the appliance while
the coals are still burning as ho t ash, coal particles, unburned fuel and ho t cooking fats
& oils could spill and accessible parts ma y be very hot. The barbeque should not be
moved by lifting.
