MOUNTING THE DUST EXTRACTION
ADAPTOR
The adaptor connects to a dust extraction system,
not supplied. Always use dust extraction and a sui-
table dust mask. This machine can produce very fine dust,
which can be hazardous to your health.
Referring to the illustration below, without a cutter fit-
ted, mount the adaptor (16) on the router base as shown.
-Secure using the screws (17) attached to the captive
bolts in the adaptor.
-Tighten the screws securely.
ADJUSTING THE CUTTING DEPTH
The cutting depth can be adjusted in two ways:
Adjustment using the scale
-Loosen the thumbscrew (9) and insert the insert the
indicator rod (10)
-Release the plunge clamp lever (12).
-Press the machine down onto the workpiece until the
cutter just touches. Tighten the plunge clamp lever.
-Set the required depth using the scale (12) and the
indicator rod (10)
-Tighten the thumbscrew.
Adjustment using the revolving depth stop
-This depth stop enables you to set up to three cutting
depths, you can also use it with the indicator rod
described in item 1.
-Revolve the depth stop to the required position.
-Loosen one of the three locking bolts and adjust as
required.
-Tighten locking bolt.
USING THE ROUTER
This router is intended for use on wood, wood deri-
ved products and plastics only.
Ensure the machine is switched OFF and unplugged
from mains before changing parts or accessories,
adjusting or inspecting this machine.
BEFORE OPERATING
-Check the voltage on the router corresponds with
your power supply voltage and that the plug and lead
are in good condition.
-Check you have the correct type of cutter for the
machine, that it suitable for the spindle speed of the
router and that it is mounted correctly. - Do not
use parts other than supplied with the machine to
make the cutter fit properly.
-Check you have a cutter suitable for the material
being cut and that it is in good condition.
-Check that the hand knobs (2) are fitted and secure –
do not use the machine without them
-Run idle for 30 seconds - if there is any abnormal vib-
ration or other fault – switch off, inspect and rectify
before continuing
OPERATION
Put the machine in a safe rest position so that the
cutter is retracted and it is not touching any thing,
i.e. the workpiece, power lead or bench Check the machine
switch is OFF.
Plug into a suitable mains supply and switch on at the plug.
Be aware that this machine has a powerful motor and needs
two hands to operate it safely.

-To switch the router ON - push the slide switch (1)
downwards.
-To switch the router OFF - push the slide switch
upwards.
-To select router speed, rotate wheel (13) to desired
speed. A (slow) to G (fast)
-Select slow speed for cutting plastics.
