Replace the battery. Charge the
NiCd battery.
Reload the batteries in the
correct polarity.
If the contact spring is deformed,
correct it.
Wipe with a dry cloth.
Screw in.
Extend fully.

Match transmitter/receiver band.
Replace with specified crystal.
Reinsert.
