OPERATION OF CALLER ID
IMPORTANT Subscription to Caller ID service from your local phone company is required before initial use.
CHANGING THE AREA CODE AND TIME/DATE
Press REVIEWσσ and DEL simultaneously, the IKARUS will change to initial mode.
Follow the steps described in section of CALLER ID INITIAL SETUP to change the setting you need.
AUTOMATIC TIME/DATE STAMPING
The Time/Date stamp for all incoming calls will be recorded and stored automatically each time a call is received if
your local phone company is offered this service.
RECEIVING CALLER ID INFORMATION
When a phone call comes in, this unit will capture the Caller ID data sent from the phone company in between the first
and second ring, the LCD panel will display the Caller ID information such as name (if available), phone number (if
available), date and time of the call.
All incoming phone call records are stored in the order in which they are received.
NOTE
The Caller ID information may not be displayed if you pick up the phone before the second ring.
LCD PANEL DISPLAYS A MESSAGE
Different messages are displayed on the LCD panel to indicate the status of the Caller ID.
NAME AND PHONE NUMBER OF CALL
If the caller's name and phone number are available, the LCD panel will display the information in the format as shown:
TIME OF CALL DATE OF CALL NEW CALL COUNTER
NUMBER OF CALLER (if available)
NAME OF CALLER (if available)
PHONE NUMBER OF CALL
In a lot of countries it isn't possible to send the caller's name.
In this case only the caller's phone number is available, and this information will be shown and the third line of LCD
panel will display "_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _".
OTHER INFORMATION
In some countries will be shown further information about the availability of Caller ID or about the quality of transmis-
sion. This information will be shown in the third line of LCD panel.
REAL TIME CLOCK DISPLAY
If your IKARUS 1200 is in stand by mode, the LCD panel will display the current real time clock and the date, and the
count for total number of calls and new calls received.
